  1. Bumping a thread here as my mates on the forum either tell a chap a mouth full or point me to the search button. I cannot easily find where this connector in the first post goes to or I am confused. I looked at the wiring diagram and it seems it goes to the abs system and engine control. I have the two square shaped connectors on the lower section of the engine bay fuse box. One is a 6 pin and the other a 5 pin connector. I have an Aristo GTE harness so its missing the plug for this as I am unsure if an Aristo or Soarer had this. Can someone please assist me? Also if anyone has that steel pipe in the 2nd photo on side of intake lying around in their garage, please let me know as I would like to fit my charcoal canister till the time I decide to go single turbo. P.S my engine harness also does not have the orange, grey and white foot well connectors. I have found a white one from some scrap wiring I got and have ordered the grey and orange plugs off the net.
  2. Was worth the try. Do you not want it rather tinted from outside a tad bit? Wouldn't be visible then right? But then again you did purchase new ones not?
  3. audible knocks from suspension can be either control arm bushes, anti roll bar bushes, or even shock mountings at the top when worn will cause that noises. As for the loose wheel feeling, it could be many as mentioned above. If all that checks out, you should get someone clued up to check your wheel bearings. Worn shock absorbers can contribute to the above experienced as well. Again as mentioned, a reputable shop can test them for you. The toyota manual does indicate how to conduct the test.
  4. Can you post a photo mate? Can one easily tell the difference if you were to see it that they are for a 6spd and not 5spd or auto?
  5. Thanks for clearing that up for me gents. My bad and apologies to all. I did think of the shape contributing to the different sound Kevin but wasn't sure. Don't test your old ones with a hammer Sheefa, you can sell them off mate. There is a set that needs work on ebay going for less than $300 Sorry bout the misinformation there mate.
  6. I don't know bout the UK cars Sheefa. Just have a check and see. Ric, I have two oem ones. One off my car original and one import but both are JDM. You can see they not glass and even the tap on it sounds otherwise. You can test this on your car and tell me? Perhaps I am mad but I feel its a hard plastic of some sort. Sheefa, if you search on youtube a channel named motion auto tv, you will see the lad has just redone his. Didn't have any oil marks but I saw him sanding them down and repairing the rubber trim on them as well.
  7. Since they are not actually glass, you could treat them the same as one would refurb their head lamps. Use 1500 grit water paper with soapy water and then a 2000 grit and then polish it thereafter with Meguiars or whatever with a polishing wheel.
  8. sadly nope. I have America, UK, Australia pages and one that just says parts sale and another that says IS300 and supra page. I am sure it was not on the American page though. It could have been the UK page or the supra parts sales page.
  9. That last post of Rider's really does show the difference although I don't know how that affects the car and tuning.
  10. damn. You sir are a restorer of note. Congrats on saving another JZ. Keep us posted and if you need more parts, scroll on to face book. Seen a guy selling those tow hooks the other day and was wondering what they were but I had a slight idea as mine aren't on the car and I think me as well have one only.
  11. the rack sells for different prices. Anywhere from $100 or less to more than $400. All depends on overall condition of operation, smooth turning and rack ends being fine but only you can determine that or the buyer can further inspect it. The harness, can you take close up photos and send them to me. Those are a bit far off and I cant see much from that pls
  12. Harnesses? I am looking for the one in the boot that connects to a plug for the window wiper motor at the trunk lid and the top or third brake lamp? Can you tell me if the harness connectors from engine side to body interior loom are there or how will I obtain that as I don't have an oem engine harness but an Aristo GTE harness
  13. Can you give me the dimensions on these please mate as well as a weight value?
  14. Eh.....thanks for the pic reference there mate Mike. Now have to pray and hope I don't encounter issues with mine. Could you measure the "depth" or "height" from the actual viscous top to the fan top if you understand what I am saying? It seems that GE one should have less meat of the viscous visible than that of the GTE one.
  15. Chris how do you tell if its GTE or GE fan? I bought one as it mentioned GTE fan. I have it but have not yet fitted it to my engine.
  16. Ironically I have that last photo on my cellphone from years ago lol. Looked nice mate. No regrets?
  17. Pleasing to the eye is that engine bay mate. Well done. Have definitely come a long way. All the best for the future of this car
  18. I battled to fit mine yesterday and I was praying I dont break it. I have 2 handles now and only a pair of the clips or holders which I too was stumped on how to fit it. Sorry for the thread jack mate. I tried ordering these and Toyota say it is discontinued. However America still has stock of it. How do people break it though?
  19. Thats what I always read and heard. Never heard the car to be a defect off the line and then sent to a performance division to cover it up or improve it so to speak. Thanks Jelly Bean. Dunk any photos of your car mate? This Jelly bean's is super sexy
  20. Is the pulley and tensioner still available? Interested in it. Wii pm you
  21. Well done on taking up the work mate. Looks swell in the thumbs up photo. Thats the finish you want in all the panels. Is it possible to assist me with a photo showing the bonnet latch cable to where it runs under the driver side fender? I tried mounting up mine temporarily but I was left with too much cable or loose cable should I say. I am trying to figure out the correct routing for it as I dont have the plastic wheel well arches.
