James Posted July 1, 2014 Author Share Posted July 1, 2014 (edited) Went along to 'Alford Speedfest' on Sunday. It was a pretty good day with some lovely cars on display (McLaren P1, Bugatti EB110 and a Packard Bentley to name a few ). There were 'fast car passenger rides' early on, so I took some folk round the little oval. They seemed to quite enjoy it which made the day worth it immediately I also took part in the 'pursuit' later on, where I was put against a 680bhp Corsa B. It runs 10.3 at 146mph so I was quite worried haha! The guy was struggling for traction and I was just (kinda) siding out of the corners so managed to 'beat' him in the end. On a wee track like that I had no chance at all! Did better than I expected right enough! I know about that car all too well - that was the one that I put a deposit down on in the first instance! The specialize in R32, R33, R34 and R35 GTRs, but some of the Supras, Aristos, RX7s and NSXs they get in are amongst the best I've seen. James Posted September 5, 2014 Author Share Posted September 5, 2014 DO NOT fit a BGW!!! Going for a gamble and have bought an APR GTC-300 wing. As it uses the stock holes it'll be interchangeable with the OEM spoiler. My intention is to set the car up a little different and have a go at taking it on the track. Going to strip out the rear etc. as well. Especially now that I don't have to use it as a daily I imagine I'll probably keep the OEM spoiler on the majority of the time, but I'll have this daft wing on occasion! Got it fitted yesterday. It has received quite a lot of attention (mix of good and bad haha!) already. I like it! Though, the OEM wing is way classier and I prefer it.
