Sounds great bud. You need to learn to drift that bitch! :)

Haha maybe with different wheels on and when I have money aside for another diff and clutch :D

That does sound lovely James.

Cheers Liam! I love the sound of it for sure! Very different to the stock twins!

Here are some pictures of it taken at the weekend:

Looks awesome James, I can't understand your hesitance at slipping the back out with those wheels on. How's the brake dust today :D

They are doing just fine I'll have you know :D (I'll be giving them some attention in the next couple of days :) )

I'd spend the money on a hair cut first!! :D

Haha I was waiting for that coming from someone :D

A pleasant moment was had today seeing a picture of the car on the MSN Cars '20 years of the Supra' article under the "How not to ruin a Supra" section.

However, I'm torn with what to do with the car. It is definitely a good thing when I am 'wanting' to do things rather than 'needing' to do stuff (the last car needed a respray, needed a wheel refurb etc.). :)

Exterior - nothing will change. Apart from my personal plate going on, but that isn't really a 'modification'. :D

Interior - the Blitz boost gauge in the vent next to the clock needs to get swapped out for a different gauge as I have a Defi boost gauge on the dash cluster and the Profec B boost controller has a digital gauge on it too (3 boost gauges is a bit much!). I'll probably get an AEM AFR to replace it. Otherwise for the interior, there isn't anything immediately coming to mind that I want to change?

Engine bay - shiny bits and carbon bits always come to mind. Though I really like the OEM VVTi cam cover so may just retain it. An APR carbon radiator/intercooler plate may be an idea. A TRD strut brace came to mind as well - though I want to make sure it'll clear the turbo/heatshield first :)

Engine bits - aftermarket cams? GReddy intake plenum? Can anyone shed some light on how worthwhile these alterations would prove? I was reading that the plenum would remove the traction control amongst other things?

My main worry with engine bits is ensuring that I don't need any headwork or a built engine to cope. I don't want to go overboard and chuck power at it to then make something go bang. It is pretty well set up at the moment so maybe I shouldn't spoil that and just save for a Syvecs + a built block and go all out later down the line? Whichever way I do it, I'm sure I'll have a smile on my face all the time

Unless you want big power James, you don't need a built block IMO. Don't waste your money.

If you don't want a lumpy idle, I'd go for a set of 264 cams. The plenum is not nessessary but a nice feature. The Wangan Supra was running over 800hp in Japan with a stock intake manifold and throttle body.

If it were me, I'd have a Syvecs fitted first, as it has an awesome traction control and safety features, then upgrade your cams and intake if you wish at a later date. That's if you don't want to she'll out all the cash at once and do it all together.

I'll do some reading up on the different VVTi cams. I think I'll be researching Jonny's old threads too as I think he had 264s on his twin build?

As for the Syvecs - it has been something that came to mind straight away so I'll no doubt get pennies together for that. As you said, the safety features + better TC will be handy. It'll also mean that I don't have to bother about 'losing' TC if/when I change the plenum. I'll probably do it bit by bit as I go. Just so long as I don't kill the head :)

I would never mess up with gauges any more. The Toucan is awesome, and my interior almost like stock now.

With the Defi DSSC I'm not plagued with gauges either - it is great! I have a little remote control that lets me go through my water temp, oil temp, oil pressure, fuel pressure, voltmeter, EGT (no sensor in for that one yet though) and 2 other temperatures. With that staying on the dash cluster, I just have the one external gauge. But of all things, I don't know why it wasn't changed from the boost gauge when the dash was installed! I'll sort that though :D

Love the style of this mate, awesome work

 I'm just glad that my vision of it from seeing the original advert of it in Japan has worked out so well :D

New badge is now on. Back to its best :D £22 for the privilege though - ouch!

Marc & I gave the cars a quick clean and went over the wheels quickly in prep for going to the Driftland grand opening day tomorrow.

Workmeister S1s & CCW Classics have to be 2 of the nicest wheels to ever grace the Supra :)

Car performed flawlessly as ever on the way to Driftland and back.

The only thing that happened was that my rear plate disappeared on my first pull en route. No use.

New plate on the way though. :)

A couple of pictures from the day:

Next thing I think is to find some cheap wheels to keep it on over the winter so that I can spend too much time trying to keep the CCWs clean :) The Megs metal polish followed by Poorboys wheel sealant worked wonders the other day. Just need to get them off and clean the backs as well to make sure everything is tip-top :) I'll get my calipers painted when I do that as well. I'm thinking just gloss black with green decals.
