It was a great day and it was brilliant to see you finally enjoying your car mate! You certainly deserve it and it was obvious how happy it made you :) Made the right choice I think!

The car looked absolutely stunning too, paintwork looked amazing in the bright sun (all the Supra's did but especially the Red one haha)

Quick update,

UK brakes now fitted all round.

Brought them from Keron and they have previously been rebuilt by CW with stainless Pistons etc.

The difference in braking performance is night and day.

Also did a few laps of the local sprint circuit, was great fun.

Car is currently away having some work carried out.

I got the feeling that the reason I'm always unsure is that I've carried out all the work myself and I've spent more time building it than driving it.

So it's gone away and for the first time since owning it, I'm paying some one else to work on it.

Will update with more details as they are finalised.

New ECU (AEM V2) is also fitted, along with AEM wideband, Greddy OLED boost controller and some additional goodies.

Just a couple more photos

Mine with the girlfriend's Celica. She's currently hunting for a white facelift ST205 GTFour.

Some great pics. Have you decided to keep the car now? Or are you still looking for a white tt6

I'm keeping the car mate, for all the work I've put into it, id be silly to sell and see a percentage of the cash and none of the blood, sweat and tears back for it.

It's currently awaiting the AEM v2 ECU to be installed....

Unfortunately, while undergoing the health check prior to installation and mapping they found detonation on the top of piston no.2.

I won't say too much about that other than, I won't be trusting self proclaimed mappers again.

so to rectify the issue and finally give me the peace of mind I've been looking for with the car, I've had the block built (maybe unnecessarily, but at least I know it should be bullet proof).

I've not done the work myself this time and I've gone for the following spec:

CP GTE Pistons (stock TT compression)

Manley H Beam conrods

ARP studs for rods, mains etc

ACL race bearings (main and rods)

OEM GTE headgasket

Ferrea Teflon VSS

AEM V2 standalone ECU

AEM 3.5 Ba

Greddy OLED SBC

Nice upgrades!

Should be fine to up the boost considerably now! Only thing I noticed was that you've gone for TT pistons and headgasket, will this not give a very low CR? Usually it's one or the other with TT pistons or headgasket.

Keen to see how it turns out though, should get mine back next week at similar spec (minus the built engine) :)

Hi mate,

To be honest I'm just after ultimate reliability as that's what I was lacking confidence in.

I'll have stock TT compression with the Pistons and HG so shouldn't be any worse than a TT:)

I can't up my boost as I still have a W58..for now!

Ahhh I see, thought for some reason the NA head was different and gave different CR's. Will be fine at that then mate

Let's see how long the W58 lasts :D

I believe the head is slightly different in design, but it's not going to be far out.

I'm trusting the builder/mapper's judgement on this, because, if it's not right, it's down to him:)

I'm not holding out much hope for my W58... May it rest in pieces!
