So after 6 years of supra ownership and 3 supra's later (3 years with the current car), I was made an offer i couldn't refuse, so I took it and have decided that the time has come to step back and move on! It's time to tick off another car on my "cars to own" bucket list!

I've made some great friends and made some amazing memories over the years, shared the highs with the lows and drank all night and day with some crazy people!! I will still be attending meets and events with the supra world but just won't be in a supra...

Before anyone thinks this is a frame post, it is NOT! I am 100% serious and just watched the car drive off!

Sad to see you've sold up, but it will be good to see what your next car / project will be

I'm putting mine up for sale next week / after this weekend.

But remember, you might have sold up. But you'll be back.... They always come back in a Supra again ;)

You selling up Dave?! Or you taking the piss?!

So as some of you seen on Facebook (and gave mums abuse for) I bought an R33 GTR Vspec in White! It has had £16K spent on it and was built by Andy Forrest (Subaru specialist) and looked after by RA Motorsport, I took it a test drive, and noticed it was laggy as hell to start but pulled hard after, I had a look through the paperwork and seen it's actually running hybrid turbos (AET Turbos) aswell!! Nice smooth clutch, leather recaro speed driver seat. 430bhp on stock injectors and ecu. Just needs a few things and it's perfect!

List of things to change are -

Wheels

Steering wheel

Ecu

Injectors

Exhaust

New carbon spoiler blade and end caps

It does look nice Alex :)

How does it feel in comparison to a BPU supra?

I'll let you know on Saturday, hopefully pick it up then from the garage!

Since I've cleared a few things up, I'll post it here aswell... I know i don't need to justify anything but I want to make this clear that it was a tough choice!

Just for you haters, I will explain the REAL reason I sold the supra! I have a huge loan to finish paying off and the sake of the supra will help take a big chunk out of it and nearly wipe it out!

The reason behind paying the loan of early is so i can start saving for a house again!

I traded in the BMW for the R33 plus cash! I've always wanted the R33 GTR and knew that it would keep me happy while I sorted out my finances and put that first instead of cars! I'm finally growing up and getting my future sorted!

Yes I WILL be back in a supra in the future, but it will be AFTER I get a house sorted!

  • 4 months later...

Suppose it's best to update this instead of opening a new thread

As some of you are aware I sold the supra 4 months ago for the chance to get another car that I've always wanted. If you have been following the thread for that, then you know that it didn't exactly goto plan and it's currently lying in bits with no engine!!

Everyone knew that I would be back in a supra, but it was never planned to be this early on after selling up and getting the GTR. So I got a surprise text from Carl, saying that he was going to be listing my old car for sale and he thought it would be a good thing to offer me it back after all the problems with the GTR....obviously I jumped at the chance and I purchased it back!

So what can I say about being back in a supra?! What a hectic day! [emoji23] That's me finally home at 04:30 after leaving Crawley at 2pm thanks to getting held up down south with "technical difficulties" lol.....or in other words the car refused to start a couple of times. Let the list of things to check and change begin after I get some sleep! Even after the set backs, I'm still super chuffed with having the car back and being back in the scene!

So you may be wondering what the plans are for the car now, well let me tell you..

Will be fitting the veilside Andrews

Will be fitting a new 3" exhaust (untill the 4" Exhaust from kaan is ready)

Repair the dent on the passenger wind

Replace battery and fuel pump

The biggest addition to the car is I WILL be finally using the big twins now and hopefully have them fitted by middle of October! :D :D I also bought the 4" HKS Ti exhaust from kaan, so that will go nicely with the kit and help it get to its potential.

Welcome back Alex. Glad to see you will be putting the VA wheels back on as imo the wheels on it at the moment don't suit it, looked so much meaner before. Get out and have a blast through some of those great roads you have up there and get the love back  Good luck with the plans.

Hey Adam, at last someone that agrees with me about the wheels lol. I'm getting the wheels sent up to me, so should get them this week at some point

Glad your back in your old car, however I have to disagree on the wheels. The XXR's really suit the car, at least from pictures they look nicer.

No they really don't in person, the rub the inner arch liner to much and scuff. I prefer the Andrews due to the fact they are a more rare wheel and look better

Also what are the plans for the gtr now that you have your supra back?

The GTR will be finished and then sold ASAP! Can't justify both and I just want rid of the GTR now, it's a shame that it turned out the way it was! Always wanted one growing up and it's put me off them :(
