  2. Checking the timing is simple so do that first if you really think its that. Personally i think you need the inlet manifold off, all the plugs out and look inside the cylinders through the plug holes with a boroscope
  3. Rotor arms only fit in one place and i doubt very much its that, if its still making the same noise then maybe there's something else in a cylinder, i don't think the timing being out would create such a noise
  4. A handful of genuine low mileage rust free cars might go up in the future but not till we come out of recession and that could and more than likely will take quite a while.
  5. Toyota are crazy money if i remember correctly, over £80 each Ebay i guess is your best bet
  6. You need to have a look under quite a few imports

Other than saving a few kg's i doubt anyone on here would notice even on track, unless you remove lots of other stuff as well like o/e seats, spare wheel, interior trim, carpet etc In my opinion it actually de values the car as i like my air/con on hot summer days even if we only have a handful of them. Drive round the south of France for a week or two in the summer and you'll be very happy you have it

  14. Try putting the air vents to the screen de mist setting and also don't have it on re circ
  15. He possibly means spigot rings which are simple to re fit and takes seconds to do. If they are hubcentric rings (spacers) then they also should be easy enough to re fit. As i said, call Ibrar, he knows about all the different wheels etc and can tell you if their reverse tyre fitment or not You will get in a right mess if they are reverse fitment and somewhere tries to do it the normal way, trust me i've been there and done that
  16. Give Ibrar at Speedwells a call (info in traders section) I have 3 piece split rims and you don't need to re seal them when changing tyres. Mine are sealed like many others with a silicon type sealer which is applied to where the 3 pieces of the wheel meet, arrowed in the photo

  18. I think you need better ventilation rather than new seals, put a de humidifier in the car when its parked up. Condensation is caused by different air temps on one side of the glass to the other isn't it, just like in my house, the windows don't leak but there covered in water droplets
  19. If you can't get the pistons out using the cars hydraulic system and you have a piston that's properly seized. Carefully hold the caliper in a vice and using caliper pliers or even pipe grips with some 120 grit emery cloth wrapped round the top end of the piston and try to rotate the piston back and fourth. If they won't move doing this remove the outer seal, sit the caliper flat on a bench with the pistons facing up and soak them in penetrating fluid around the piston and leave for a few hours then re try the above, on the single piston rear you can try compressed air but on the fronts you need both pistons in the caliper and hold the free one in place with a g clamp. Edited As Chris says be careful using the compressed air route. I used this on the 4 piston UK type calipers and had a piece of wood in between the pistons so none of them could come out completely. Keep your fingers out the way
