  1. Good news and glad you did I've seen shed loads that aren't at part worn shops here in Brum and the sellers couldn't give a toss or haven't even bothered to check them.
  2. These are the OE tyre sizes as fitted by Toyota on the staggered 17" wheels. Tail happy could be down to a number of things, not allowing for the road conditions, your tyres are low budget rubbish, their worn out, incorrect pressures, incorrect sizes, miss matched from one side to the other, incorrect geo, worn out suspension bushes, loose suspension parts, worn out dampers etc etc
  3. Be careful Josh, there's lots of part worns that are scrap or too old etc, the bargin you think you have just might not be. Have you checked the date code on them and checked them inside and out for damage.
  4. Their 245 40 17 so not the correct size for stock 17" wheels either on the front or the rear
  5. Never assume is my motto I'd get it on a ramp asap if its as bad as you say, go round all the bushes and do a bolt check at the same time making sure everything is done up to the correct torque figures, half these places don't even have a torque wrench let alone use them. If all is okay i'd then get it re aligned, get a free check done somewhere other than the first place you used. Some laser alignment places are a joke, i've recently used 2 trying to get my Landcruiser right !!

    Stuttering

Take it back to whoever fitted it would be my advice.
  7. Dropping another GE engine in there is your cheapest option, rebuilding yours is a non starter.
  8. You can't tell what a cars like from photos, you need to see it in the flesh.
  9. The photos are pretty poor to say the least
  10. If it was a bit nearer i'd go and have a look
  11. I think with a car that's barely done 1000 miles a year you'd need to be careful and have a very good look before you handed over £14k for it.
  12. I don't see the point in buying one and hardly using it, if it makes £14k then its cost approx £26k in depreciation to do 19000 miles !!
  13. Maybe carbon wrap the battery box as well
  14. If that's the case. Dont even bother going that route, a bare heads over £1k Just pull the motor and drop another na lump in there or find a tt lump and convert to turbo power.
  15. I'd get the head off first and inspect it and also look at the cylinders, pistons etc. Is it na or tt ?
  16. I would wet vac the seats if their cloth, this draws the dirt, mould, water etc out of the seat, a jetwash forces water in which unless the covers were taken off the seats isn't possibly a good idea
  17. In its defense the sales blurb says its meant to used with race gloves and should be cleaned which i didn't. Mine was a Momo
  18. Wouldn't it be far safer to have the car on some ramps
  19. I had a suede one and after a little while the suede went hard and shiny where you grip the wheel, looked great when it was new and crap after a few months
  20. If you paint it white make sure its a really good match or that can look pretty bad, should go well with Blitz side skirts, you'll have fun parking as that wont go over the kerb by the looks of it
  21. Use a pre mix Ethylene Glycol based coolant or Coolred from Toyota (approx £20 for 5 litres) you'll need just under 9 litres for an empty system, don't use tap water even to mix with. It would also pay to fit a new o/e thermostat at the same time for what they cost.
  22. I'm surprised they didn't get a better photo of the cars lined up outside, more from the front at an angle getting them all in.
  23. On the stock UK 17's which are 8" fronts and 9.5" rears the front and rear pressures are the same
  24. No need to remove anything other than the disc, its not that hard a job to do
  25. Its whether you car has 4 piston fronts and 2 piston rears (both have opposed pistons) or 2 piston fronts and single piston rears (both with sliding caliper) An import can come with either
