  1. I was about to say you'll pick up an aristo TT alot cheaper but that is just ludicrously cheap. WTF is wrong with it at that price?
  2. What about something like this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2317415.htm Obviously auto's are available.
  3. You aren't far off mine for that sort of money mate!!
  4. I'm using my wifes toothbrush from now on lol
  5. Ribs coming on amazing mate. He has completely re-tubed it, re-fabbed the console, and rebuilt the rest of it already. He's bought all the gear that was missing ie canoes etc for it as well. Now all he needs is an engine and he's up and running. Will sort out some photo's when its done.
  6. I can't make another one until I vacate the barrels with the 40 pints of cider and 40 pints of stout I made at christmas lol.
  7. Started with a bit of light exercise on Wednesday night a rather poor 3 mile run that was hardly jogging pace. 27 minutes for 3 miles is almost going backwards. Never mind though the weight is still coming off. I'm down to 13 10 now so another 5lb gone on top of the stone I dropped in that crash diet week. Hopefully by the end of the month I can smash my weight down to below 13 stone but its going to start getting hard now as the exercise is going to start putting muscle on negating the weight lost in fat.
  8. No I slipped/ran around the car and managed to get between the supra and the car in the parking space next but one and stopped it with little effort.. Good job as the bloke was sat in his car watching a supra coming towards him with no-one in it.
  9. That was exactly my reasoning. I picked up an aristo TT VVTi for about a grand cheaper than market value with some nice mods on it so I bit his hand off and factored the gas conversion into the price. The more expensive petrol gets the quicker you'll get the money back. I'm now saving 65 pence a litre over SUL. Just over 10k miles to cover the cost. I'm 3/4s of the way there already......... I don't justify it that way though. I justify it with I couldn't run the TT daily at the cost of fuel now so I'd have a sh*tter to run instead. The annual saving on tax, MOT, insurance and other running costs of older unreliable motors is saving enough, and I get to sit in my nice car daily
  10. I've got a seriously damaged set ie one rear rim has a split that's been welded and the other has a split needs welding. They also need a complete refurb as the paint/laquer is crap.If you don't find a decent set it may be worth sorting this set out?
  11. I've tried ciders and lagers and had not a great deal of success with those. The ciders turned out either too sour for my liking or just rocket fuel. The lager turned out yakky. I've made stout and both of those have come out really well. I'll retry a lager for the summer I think.
  12. Years ago my supra slid off sideways in a snow covered car park with a slight sideways incline when I shut the door !!
  13. Simon the gas at texaco just outside ringwood is 71.9p mate and I think the shell at St Leonards thats now a BP is the same price if you are passing that way. My aristo vvti shows no difference in consumption between petrol and gas mile for litre. Gas on charged cars is better than on N/A's due to the RON being 102 etc. Mine cost me £1650 for a BRC system and electronic flashlube system and a toroidal tank ie spare wheel. Basically it means that I can choose either my diesel sh*tter or my aristo as there is only a penny a mile in it on fuel costs. I really don't think I'd go with a £900 instal as the tanks going to be one of them crappy sausage ones that sit up taking over your entire boot in a very unsightly manner. It will be more than likely single point injection which has its own issues blowback being one and it isn't as efficient as multi point either. I doubt that any time or effort will be put into cosmetics during the instal either.
  14. Its fairly simple really. In the UK anyone that's ever tried to sell a supra will know the "arsehole" syndrome that it attracts. If that be someone from chavsville tenessee or dreamers county can't ever afforditsville. You will still get dicks in Europe trying it on just the same as here. You just have to learn how to deal with them the same as the home grown turkeys!
  15. So you are doing about 80 miles a day then?
  16. He'll have something up his sleeve or he wouldn't put his reputation on the line. Lets face it the Japanese are big on reputation so he must have some guns that will work well.
  17. I will say that this ad is probably as pants as ads get lol. I will also say though that aristo prices are just ridiculous in cheapness. This is the only country in the world that they go for so low a price. Its gotten so stupid that its cheaper to buy an aristo here and ship it back to Japan to use it for parts FFS. Supra's are getting cheap these days but aristo's cheaper still. The main problem seems to be that no=one knows what they are so no-one buys them. FWIW they really are auto supra's with 4 doors and a boot. They shift pretty much the same to all speeds, they corner pretty much the same (remember stock supra's are GT cars ie touring setup, and they single turbo up the same.
  18. Dude stick some rubber gloves on and man up a bit lol. Stick it in a bucket and sling it in the bin. Job done. You need to stop them getting in there though as they are known for chewing through cables and all sorts of stuff.
  19. Place round the corner from me rents trailers mucho cheapness. If you get stuck gimme a ring
  20. Ah yadda yadda lol. Its not like me to completely get the wrong end of the stick ROFL Free bump.
  21. Yeesh you boys want everything lol Fella's, fella's, fella's you don't need 4wd for snow, my aristo performed as well as any 4wd in the snow because I put proper winter/snow tyres on. Makes the world of difference. Push snow mode button to lock out first gear and kickdown floor it and let the TC do its job!!
  22. They fit under 18"s? Thats quite impressive.
  23. £116.33 for the fronts £131.55 for the rears?
  24. What the hell size wheel do you need to fit them bad boyz under?
  25. That would be me recently bumping an old thread. I've got two buckled wheels and a car i can't drive because I'm out of work and cant afford to get it properly inspected up front. I have the details for derbyshire councils insurance dept so there is hope. I'm gonna guess it is individual councils that you contend with and some will be harder than others.
