  1. Best mate had a black manual one (like finding unicorn poo) but I was utterly un-impressed with it. Straight line it was quicker than my NA supe but in corners and from a standstill I ate it alive. My TT supe just destroyed it as did my 1JZ mk3. You had to have the stickiest tyres in the world to get any real grip out of it and like Chris said torque steery to the unpleasant. FWIW IMO the vaux omega 3.2 MV6 estate is a much better package. Summat like this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2039106.htm
  2. Ha Ha we did that to a t*sser at work every day. Anyone that walked past his car if the wipers were down we put them up. Drove him frothy at the mouth mad it did P*ssed him off even more that the aristo's wipers retract under the bonnet
  3. At least they left your wing mirror on. Vandals kicked mine off and played football with it down the road!!!
  4. I was led to believe that volvo's red block engines were as easy and as cult an engine to work on as the 1/2JZ units in certain circles?
  5. And before you mention the V70R AWD those AWD systems are very well known for failing and cost thousands to fix!! By the time they got to this stage volvo's were getting just a tad too complicated. The old school ones can be hugely tinkered with and don't cost alot either. When I went round Zaandvoort track there was a guy there with a 960 sedan with a t61 turbo on it and that was pretty damn rapid.
  6. That guy does have a tendency of picking up aristo's regularly. Considering none of us on the club can find ones that aren't in the club I dunno how he manages it but he does. Experiences with his trading don't come back with any horror stories either from memory.
  7. Look at the mileage across the years then at the one thats 40k!!! Thats the dodgy part. Its got huge miles on it and another unkown tonne of miles on top of that. Extremely high potential for being a bucketfull of expense.
  8. It'll be fine remember where they are designed for. I just stuck some hankook snow bears on my winter wheels yesterday and the grip levels despite losing 5 inch of rubber at the back is very impressive on the muddy leafy roads I'm driving on now.
  9. Also has an input when engine braking that's not to everyone's taste. Drive a car with one before making your mind up.
  10. Not a carbon bonnet. Well it'll open but it will snap your bonnet in half if you try and cose it. PM Peter Richards dude.
  11. Didn't Peter Richards run a buy on adjustable dampers admittedly for the boot.
  12. It looks like a genuine and very well done abflug kit so yeah I'd guess at trade price thats nearly there!!
  13. Good enough for what exactly? Narrow decent winter tyres and they'll be as good as any car is my guess.
  14. £400 is very reasonable. That rig I said sold for £500 didn't come with a scope either. It came with an out of date gas bottle (which costs £30-50 to get retested) and no stirrup pump. Any one interested in air rifles should take a look at this page http://www.airgunbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=244906&highlight=legal+muzzle+velocity&page=2 It really isn't very straight forwards at all. It appears to me that the type and weight of pellets you use can affect the speed of the pellet. If they take the gun for testing it appears that they test the speed of the pellet not how much air pressure its running at. This particular air rifle is adjustable so before you use it anywhere you may get seen I would have it tested just to be on the safe side. I'd also ensure that the adjuster is not easily accessible because if it is and its not set up with anti-tamper measures it can be set to its highest setting by any investigating body to test it and they will apply the law at that setting (there's a case in Leeds court now where they've done just that).
  15. Probably members only page. It went for over £500
  16. I had a 940 2.3 HPT. It was a right hoot. 7 seats, it was no slouch and very cheap power upgrades available for it. Funny as ferk when I did a donut in the car park when the local muppets were badly trying to do burn outs in their saxo's. Shopping went everywhere
  17. http://www.airgunbbs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=491721&highlight=career+707 Some pictures on there and a more accurate price as well mate. The stirrup pumps are not cheap either. The recharge bottles are easier though and you can pick them up cheapish
  18. Of course it would be worth £21k. Like I said how much would it be new? What's the price of an SC430 in Japan these days new as its the only car in their range I could compare it to. Imagine it as the cars lost the money any car loses when its first registered and that's the ball park you are in. Once in the country it would depreciate as fast as any other marque vehicle would. If you put big miles on it then the value will plummet, if however you garage it properly you may well stand to be an owner of a future classic.
  19. Funny I had this same issue with a HKS fcon unit. An old unit. To complicate it further if I changed my ignitor unit it would then run. Very bizarre. I also had a toad alarm system. Maybe a weak ignition unit.
  20. How much would a supra be new in that spec? You would effectively be buying a new car with that one. Any new car is going to depreciate build a bridge get over it. People that don't want depreciation buy 10 year old cars with average miles.
  21. He never said it was acceptable he just said he liked it. FWIW the entire world you live in compartmentalizes everything. In fact you just allocated tanny babes a compartment without even lending any reasoning to why!! The diagram is essentially hugely disparaging. Tell you what though, stand and look at it like an intellect and you will see just how true and false it is. That diagram is an utterly representative documentation of our present society. The desire to fit into a box is fundamental to the very existence of the majority of our populace. On the other hand no-one in our country will say that a group rules their life. Life is what it is. You get dealt a sh*t hand deal with it! There are plenty of people left and right of God,Allah etc that find their niche in life. Follow, attempt understanding, and be patient>>>> life might be a tad easier and more productive.
  22. Johnny, frickin Johnny, its always been Frickin Johnny foreigners. FFS guys even our racism is getting diluted
  23. I'm sure my mate that was lead mechanic at a porsche dealership said that porsche turbo's ran variable vane technology. Its not for big power its for better spool. Gas turbines have been running this technology since the late 60's. In fact you could use it very similarly to gas turbines to prevent compressor stalling whilst still spinning the turbine over. Remember its not the exhaust side you need to vary its the compressor side to reduce restriction at lower revs, once its spinning you then bang in the angle of attack/compression based on throttle position.
  24. I'm not sure it would have the same effect on a sheep
