This car has come SO FAR Kaan. Real credit to your and SRDs workmanship. I'll be happy if mine ends up half as nice as this when I'm done (in many moons time lol) -

In answer to question 7 - Does the mirror switch operate the aerial? As stock, it goes up and down when the radio is on/off. Maybe a previous owner wired it to the mirror switch, so that they could manually operate it? Seems like a pretty good mod imo.

I vote crank pulley too. As j_jza80 said, second hand crank pulleys are a time bomb. No true telling of what mileage it's done, and could fail at any time. Do the tipex test, and if it is good, then at least the tipex is there for future reference.

Have you got a link for the halos you used? I was looking to go the same route, rather than using PCBs.

If the rear crank seal is leaking, the oil may be staying in the bell housing. That happened to me, and when Paul at Whifbitz took the box off, it dumped the oil everywhere. I couldn't locate a leak either.

Ribs suck dude! My next one is a full sleeve. I'm mid way through drawing it up at the moment. My artist will put his own spin on it for me, as drawing for myself, is just never good enough.

Same problem I had Rog. When mine popped I was all for getting a V16* and even had one lined up, but other problems that were previously hidden chewed up the budget I ended up having to go w58 again, which took me and Paul 2 months to source Even W58 boxes are getting scarce these days. If it goes again, I'll be looking at R154, as they seem to be the most readily available (still scarce though) conversion available. Might just fork out for a MKIII complete, strip the conversion and break the rest. Unless a V16* pops up at the right time. -
