    supra TT BPU

planning on getting rid of the n/a and getting a TT as i just come into a bit of cash and have been looking on Thor Racings site. They can do a full BPU for £531. Obviously this will take it up to around 400bhp and 1.2 bar. am wondering if anyone knows of a cheaper way to get to BPU or is that a fair price? the cash aint the problem, but money saved is money on something else. Also, recommended turbo upgrade? looked at TD04's recommended by a mate, but he has a skyline and knows squit about supras. Input would be appreciated
  2. seen it but no idea whose it is. theres also another one round barnstaple/bideford area, again silver, standard, driven by a guy who must be about 65
  3. cheers guys think the TT6 is gona be the best bet as you say. just have to persuade the goddam wife to let me up my limit by a couple of grand. stupidly i told her i would spend no more than 8k!!! what an idiot lol
  4. right im looking to buy a twin turbo when i get back from afghan end of the year. currently have an N/A and want something more. however i notice the prices for TT 6speed have gone up some since i got the N/A just over a year ago. So my question is, to anyone whos done it....how much do you think i could get a 6 speed getrag for (or something else if recommended), and what else would i need to get if anything, and how much it would cost roughly to convert an auto to a manual? any input would be appreciated because obviously being where i am right now i dont really have much time to research it myself. Pre-said Thanks to anyone who can help. Ta Listy
  5. where is the best place to mount bonnet pins? and the best way to do it? listy
  6. cool cheers mate, i'll give it a go in a bit when i get the courage to brave the snow and the cold to get to the garage lol
  7. i can see a 12mm but it just comes straight off. do you tighten or loosen to move the seat forward?
  8. which bolts is it at the front, i've had a look, found a 12mm which seems to just be a holding bolt, and two alan key like round bolts but thats all i can see
  9. chepstow. the motor makes no noise, so just wanted to move the seat forward to get at the rear runner bolts. thinking of just swapping out the electric runners with manual ones.
  10. MY DRIVERS SEAT IS STUCK RIGHT BACK!!! i've had a look at all the threads regarding this matter, but cant see any of the bolts referred to in previous threads. i've taken the plastic cover off, and found a 12mm bolt, but this only comes off, there is no seat movement at all. I can see two alan key like bolts on the door side, but dont want to start unscrewing random things. Can anyone help me out with a diagram or pic of what i'm looking for to mechanically move the seat forward? Cheers guys Jon
  11. never mind, done now, bumper needed fibreglassing anyway so off it came, queueing the realisation that yes, it can come out by undoing 2 bolts and giving it a firm yank
  12. sorry guys........lol........just dont want to go through the hassle of taking the bumper off if i dont have to
  13. quick question s we're here.........can you drain the expansion tank without removing the front bumper, want to proper clean the cooling system out
  14. "there is now next to no difference in price between the two" only about £3000 if your looking for a half decent TT. But it might just be me that doesnt see that as next to nothing, not quite sure though
  15. nothing wrong with a n/a mate, i have one, however, i get a bonus at work autumn next year, and it will be traded in for a TT......but i love mine, as im sure u love urs. im just hungry for more raw power lol
  16. best way to drain expansion tank? can you do it without removing the front bumper?
