  1. That's a good buy that Rog. I was looking at **** SUP plates on DVLA the other day. Generally go for around £250.
  2. I'm NA-TT BPU on a W58 and I've munched one already. They are ok as long as you don't do harsh down shifts and drive it like it's stolen. Mine was ok for about 5 years before it eventually ate itself. Even W58 boxes are getting harder to find these days, and wil set you back around £400 just for the box. What would be a better idea (imo) would be to buy an NA 6 speed and later convert it to a TT. Either that, or save a couple extra grand and buy a factory TT6.
  3. You have too much money. Give me some lol Only way I'll ever own anything like that is if I win the lottery
  4. I'd go red. I went white to match the paintwork, and it looks good (or did I need to clean it up)
  5. I found it on eBay a while ago but don't have a link I'm afraid, I just have the picture on my iPad. Sure I searched for "single din gauge holder".
  6. I don't know about those, but I think it looks very dated. I was looking into one of these: Fits in a single din, and directs the gauges towards the driver. Gauges aren't included though.
  7. I'm sure Paul had some good results with these. Iirc they got to small single power on them with supporting mods.
  8. My wife wants a supra, and she loves mine, so my plan is to buy a stock NA and swap the engines over so I can start again on a new one That's the closest I'd get to selling it, giving it to my wife.
  9. When I got a bumper from them last year it wasn't good. I didn't even attempt a test fit as the quality was poor, and it turned up damaged (the latter was probably the courier though). In fairness to KR though they collected it FOC and gave me a full refund including postage cost.
  10. Word of warning, watch what you say in this thread. We have had dramas with KR issues in the past, and if the thread goes south, it will be deleted.
  11. Because it is illegal to change the VIN. The V5 is not the same as the VIN of a vehicle. The VIN plate on the car will always say "202" for a black car out of the factory. If that black car is sprayed RSP, it would still have to read 202 on the VIN. The V5 will say "blue", but the VIN will not. I didn't say it would lower the value, I said it wouldn't be worth as much as a "from the factory colour". It depends how picky you are. Personally, if I was buying a TT6 Supra I'd want the colour to match the VIN, as it would (if everything else remained stock) appreciate better than one with a colour change. That goes for any big change though (bar single conversions etc) An auto to TT will not appreciate like a factory TT6. A TT6 out the factory will apreciate better than one with a colour change. Just my opinion, but I'm sure many on here would agree.
  12. TT6 will go up in value eventually, being a better investment, BUT with the paint not matching the VIN, would lessen the value a bit imo. Auto to 6 won't get the same return as a factory TT6. However, buying the auto and converting to 6 speed will probably work out cheaper: TT6 (average-ish) £9k + £3k for a decent respray = £12k Auto TT (average-ish) £6k + around £4k for 6 speed conversion = £10k (Rough prices, I may be a little off)
  13. Interested when it's done. I'll drop my engine in it, and stick the NA in mine
  14. As far as I'm aware it's still ongoing until Branners gets the club car in to have it done
  15. I'm going to say 672 before I go and scour the book of faces [EDIT] Just seen it......nice result
  16. If you've tried to fix them yourself in any permanent way, you may struggle to get your money back, or even replacements as they will deem you have "modified" the seats.
  17. Fancy doing a "How To" on the rear lights? I'm looking at doing the exact same thing.
  18. Facelift hardtop is leather effect vynil.
  19. Thank god for that! I couldn't work out what part of the Supra it was, and that explains it.
  20. Was the dip he put on the Fb page for "Roger" yours Rog?
  21. I didn't think you could insure modified cars on a classic policy. I might have to look in to that when I renew next. Keep meaning to pop over to Pauls to have a nose at this, but neer find the time

    Japfest 2015

If I can swing it, then I will, but I won't have time to organise anything, so someone else will have to take charge of the convoy organisation. Whoever takes it over, just look at the threads from the last two years, and all the timings and meet points work well.
