  1. yes you can buy and fit a air fuel controller , apexi did one safr. but you really should just wait until you get the ecu fitted other wise your paying twice ,having the fuel right doesn't mean the timing will be , be patient dude
  2. Ok just a update on this misfire sorted swapped out the iridium plugs with new copper type and boom misfire gone . I can only guess that the bad injector failed the plug or I got a duff set.
  3. I had been having a misfire like your and had iridium plugs that was only 6 months old and failed I have just put in a set of copper ones to see just in case and boom sorted it. I see something about fake iridium plugs being out there
  4. Hi Tom thanks for the reply , when you say slowly broke down what do you mean , it just would cut out more and more until one day just gave up?
  5. Hi all been having a misfire for a while once warm and on boost. Have changed coils injectors and igniter but still have the same fault. But today when starting g the car I got a 13 error code which is crank position sensor related . So my question is to anyone who can help is what are the symptoms of a failing crank sensor / timing star.

  8. Long shot but have to ask does anyone have a AEM FIC 8 bypass plug I can borrow for 20 minutes.
  9. so this misfire continues , today I swapped out all the injectors cleaned and fitted the best ones I had out of the 12 I have got still the same , one thing im noticing is the car runs good for a while then goes bad after a 15minute drive with booting it , noticed this the most the other day when I was clearly running with bad misfire , swapped coils to pin point but still the same , pulled off injector plugs to try and pin point but its not as bad as a full dead injector and couldn't tell a difference between cylinders was still worse when getting boost, unplugged the battery for half hour then it was running with hardly a misfire . starting to think that the aem fic is playing up as I don't get a error code from the stock ecu. think it might be time to get it to somewhere with a rolling road to test this fault

  12. I wouldn't waste my time or money going hybrid . You have got to get all supporting mods as if you was going single . But I still think my car was best a bpu and I had stage 3 hybrids and now T67 single but that's due to the fact I'm auto . If going single and want to be fast off the line in a auto a hi stall is a must
  13. I was changing the plugs the wrong way on my car for 10 years , I realised when tracing a misfire the best way is to unscrew the coil pack from the plate and leave it plugged in and take the plug out through the coil pack opening, this saves you struggling with the breather pipes

    I done all mine straight off the bat , but the stock side mount intercooler blew a end cap off so got a front mount soon after

    as long as you get a restrictor ring then you should be fine , its a easy job to do your self worst bit will probably be getting the first cat bolts off
  16. This is caused by the cam cover gaskets. The bolts holding them down my need tweeking up as the rubber perishes
  17. Was struggling to make it to toyota . So got a blue print one which a few said are good quality
  18. Update new radiator cap sorted this . Had a good run out to the ace cafe meet and back booting it . No coolest loss
  19. Yeah good meet thought that bloke was a gonna at one point . I got a picture where there was just as many amberlance as supras lol
