  2. what a shame , what insurance pay out you looking at?
  3. swiftly down loads the repair manual
  4. will not affect it at all as its not a real Toyota , if its not very good could even push up the MKIV as people remember how good the pure MKIV was / is . all just my opinion of course so probably wrong
  5. Sorry to hear that mate, get some rare parts off before the insurance company take it
  6. i don't suppose you know where it splits into 6 by any chance
  7. Thanks mike exactly what I was after
  8. I take it the injector wiring on the Jspec TT is more like the N/A wiring vs the uk spec with resistor , anyone have the jspec wiring diagram as the repair manual is for uk spec . http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/content.php?64-Electrical-Diagrams I would have thought that they all have a 12v feed by the looks of the diagram B+ and are earthed by the ecu. but this is at a guess and would like confirmation surprised I didn't find anything when searching as a lot of guys in the day fitted the resistors to fit uk spec injectors
  9. ha I wish we had a like button for that! one time the bloke don't get screwed
  10. could be another injector seems the same as it started before not sure yet mate was the first time it misfired while driving tonight , but as it does the 5 cylinder thing when starting I can assume that its that cylinder that's giving me problems , so when I start it tomorrow will be at the ready to pull the injector plug to find out what cylinder, could be with what we done taking the intake off moved a bad connection in the loom ? odd fault I must admit which would point to a wiring degrading issue in my experience but they are always the worst to find when so intermittent. to be expected with such a old car / wiring with many heat cycles
  11. another update misfire is coming back car started the other day on 5 again for a couple of seconds thought what ? no way ? but drove fine . today started on 5 again but didn't clear so quick when on full boost could hear the miss again and feel it later on in the drive . I will disconnect the battery and see if it makes any difference as this is weird how it works fine for a week then slowly comes back. if no joy will try see if its the same cylinder on the start up if it is will rewire the injectors pain the butt .
  12. if that's happening all the time you could pull each injector plug off one at a time to find what injector / if its a injector. failing that get a long screw driver and put it on the injectors and listen to the handle touching your ear, could be a earth fault with that injector wiring as im pretty sure they have voltage and are earthed to trigger so a wire touching a body panel could cause that.
  13. need to get a number plate holder as well mate that number plate covering the rad like that with the supras small grill cant be doing no favours to the cooling system, no way would I go bpu without moving that plate first
  14. when you say unswitched one it worked fine this makes me question if its been wired wrong and its been running on the 9v ? but I might have misunderstood how in depth you know the system. have a look at my sexy clip art in this thread to double check. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?272714-12v-mod-will-this-work
  15. after market coils are so much weaker then stock it you can clearly see even with 10 yeah out stock ones out performing 1 year old super sparks
  16. I take it your bypassing the fuel pump ecu , you will have to check that your getting the 12v from the pump ecu as its the 9v that's activates the relay, I hve heard of the pump ecu's going, also you need to get a multi meter on each side of the relay contacts to see what voltage you have there and then work back to the ecu
  17. Not a dig at you at all pal. Your thread does show a bad side. so to be fair to hidden I expressed my dealings with them that is all.
  18. how are your injectors haves just finished chasing down a sort of similar issue
  19. After mike2JZ kind offer of lending me so coil packs to test my car and try and resolve the misfire I thought it was best to go visit him at Hidden performance where we went through my coil packs and with the spares that mike had at his work shop make a good set , replacing all the leaking coils the car still had a misfire , being it was the simplest of things to do it had to be done first, but mike didn't want to leave it there he wanted to get it sorted, I did have my suppressions of a bad injector so it was on the cards to swap the suspected injector out with a spare I had , mike said lets do a compression test just to prove the mechanicals of the car which was the obvious choice to make to know we was working from a good starting point . compression come back with good results all with 185 excepts 5 with 175 which i knew was down from my last compression years ago. mike and I decided to remove the throttle body and intake just to get at the suspect injector. once we replaced the injector the car run sweet as can be , and after a race challenge from mike the supra got a good work out with no faults miss or anything bad to report back . So thank you mike for your time on a sunday dragging you away from other things to help me out , there are more people like you needed in this club with your knowledge and helpfulness I thought it best to write this thread to show the two sides of every coin hidden didn't have to sort me out on a sunday so top respect for him and his team.
  20. ok time for a update with this with resolution, After mike2JZ kind offer of lending me so coil packs to test my car and try and resolve the misfire I thought it was best to go visit him at Hidden performance where we went through my coil packs with the spares that mike had at his work shop , replacing all the leaking coils the car still had a misfire , being it was the simplest of things to do it had to be done first, but mike didn't want to leave it there he wanted to get it sorted, I did have my suppressions of a bad injector so it was on the cards to swap the suspected injector out with a spare I had , mike said lets do a compression test just to prove the mechanicals of the car which was the obvious choice to make to know we was working from a good starting point . compression come back with good results all with 185 excepts 5 with 175 which i knew was down from my last compression years ago. mike and I decided to remove the throttle body and intake just to get at the suspect injector. once we replaced the injector the car run sweet as can be , and after a race challenge mike the supra got a good work out with no faults miss or anything bad to report back . so thank you mike for your time on a sunday dragging you away from other things to help me out , there are more people like you needed in this club with your knowledge and helpfulness
  21. well it started fine for the last couple of days , today I cable tied my phone under the bonnet and done some runs to see whats happening with the fuel pressure which looks to be ok so not pump related , im going to bite the bullet I think and take the intake off and make a rig to test for injector discrepancies.
  22. I must agree the lc500 is more supra looking , but the lc is surely the soarer successor
  23. I posted it to compare the list of singles vs BPU times not for auto, manual or top 3 of each. if you look at the list you can see that bpu and single turbos come in around 13-12 so some bpu cars are beating single turbo times , even at suprapod mattp put out a better time then me with a bpu and im a 524bhp single both auto
  24. Some are missing my point a single turbo is great don't get me wrong , but a single turbo auto needs a hi stall to be as great As for the BPU vs single 1/4 mile times http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?166336-Supra-Drag-Racing-Times
