Moar updates,

I'm back in the UK so plenty to be working on the car.

Thanks to Edmorris for the excellent Carbing strut brace which he sold me.

I set up the brake booster feature of the brace which is the main reason i went for the Carbing, I really don't know why people choose anything else!

All done.

Thanks to Supra_UFO for selling me one of his new defi's i'd always planned to install 3 gauges, so now that i had my 3rd I installed the 3 gauge pod i've been sitting on for a while too.

The next modification I made was one I just conjured up in my mind the other day, I had no idea if it would work or not but alas, I tried.

I have a new steering wheel coming for the car, which doesn't have the cruise control buttons, i didnt really want to lose the cruise control (i tried so hard to keep it with my aftermarket wheel) i thought about retro fitting that interface so i could still use the cruise.

Here you can see the boss that im using, it has the buttons for the cruise control's and they work, great, but my new wheel wont use this boss.

I traced the wiring for the 3 cables the cruise controller used.

Removed the buttons from the cruise control boss.

located the cabling in the steering column harness and extended the cabling.

After measuring 6 times i made the holes in the lower half of my steering cowling which would still be kept with the new wheel.

I refitted the cowling, it fit perfectly and operates as it should, so I get to keep my cruise control YEY.

That's all for now, more to come soon.

Thanks for looking!

Nice work!

I love you dash setup so much

Love this car!

Snap, perfect stance great wheels great kit.

Cheers fellas

great work ric

what does the brake booster feature do? i have never heard of it

The master cylinder moves slightly when you press the brakes, the brace stops this movement so you get a better peddle feel, apparently. I've not driven it out to try yet but most people say it does make a difference.

You can buy the braces separately but the Carbing brace includes it for a nice package.

Feel like doing my dash Ric? :D

Do what? lol

Brace looks great in the bay, glad it arrived ok. Cute little mod for the cruise too, like it.

Thanks dude.

Perhaps you could help actually Ed, did you keep the little metal rings on the struts? or remove them with the brace?
