Project: Ric's Gunmetal Carbon Ridox

Those seats are properly comfortable, too. Will you fit seat heaters?

I will be looking into it yeah, my trimmer says's its perfectly doable, but i need to find something with a factory looking button, where i can mount easily without drilling out my panels or something.

The Audi RS seats are looking pretty expensive at the moment, might have to wait it out, i dont think my OEM recaros will give the same look or comfort at the shoulders.

Small update here with a few bits i missed as I'm currently working away:

Also got myself a nice 5 channel Hertz amplifier to power them all my speakers

Also had a hunters alignment done at the local shop, all was OK but will revisit this in the future with some suspension upgrades

Bit of carbon detail

I also mocked up my wrinkle painted cam covers and PHR oil cap with my carbon spark plug cover i bought at Japfest finale which will be fitted once i start the engine stuff eventually.

I love a top audio setup and this is fantastic! Have you sound deaden the doors? If you haven't then I can not recommend it enough. Made a huge difference to my Rainbow components.

Also one more thing I would change on the car is getting a private plate on it, even a cheapy one! It needs fewer letters or at least 6 characters to make it more symmetrical.

Maybe even have carbon raised letters?! :D

I knew you wouldn't miss it, your level of OCD would not allow that to happen! So stop slacking spending most of your time out of the UK & get it sorted!! :D

Small update here,

Back in the UK so i decided to get fitting my LED dash conversion thanks to the amazing Heckler.

dialsnew1.JPG.063db7902e7bff394010d54c9d73aa8a.JPG

I started with the completed heater unit and the window switches along with the LED PCB's for the dials.

dialsnew2.JPG.37627f9ab961bd1ee7b39bdfe7cbf0ae.JPG

While i was at it i changed the buttons on the heater control for my new ones, you can see the difference here half/half with the whiter new ones and the yellow'd old ones

dialsnew3.JPG.beda78a28de18f47c463d61a46574bee.JPG

All new

dialsnew4.JPG.1be0abcf2d6e00c4d35fe1ac44ed94ef.JPG

I took my dial unit apart and marked where the needles stopped as per metal monkeys instructions (these were the new dials i was moving too)

dialsnew5.JPG.a65460601419cb17384b5c83ae2a8cdb.JPG

After a bit of fighting i managed to fit in the new PCB's i cushioned the pcb's with some thick foam to stop them moving around, the picture is missing the fuel PCB i added that after.

I attached the power for the PCB's with solder into the positions for the normal bulbs

At this point more LED's where turning up for my number plates, interior lights etc

Converted the clock and odometer to blue, brings back memories doing this to my first supra back in 2006!

Here you can see the design for the heaters i'd chosen.

Heres my dash conversion as it stands today!

carout.JPG.fccab7fde12599775b7ad8d3fa00ad8c.JPG

Was a lovely day today so i decided to get the roof off and go for a little drive

spoilercarbon1.JPG.81fec3d1e5ac838b359f32fd05544652.JPG

While the car was out i decided to change my rear spoiler panels, here you can see how they started

spoilercarbon2.JPG.783a10ad9a40bee7104148ce887b18da.JPG

The holes were slightly different for the carbon panels so i held them in place with a bit of tape and drilled the new ones.

spoilercarbon3.JPG.fba17704420188e002bb0976a76a5752.JPG

All fixed up looking better.

There was a dodgy looking cloud coming my way so a quick hoover and back in the garage untill we get more nice days!

Thanks for looking!
