Very nice JG

Cheers Graham :)

Good figures JG, you must be pleased with that result.

Very happy mate. I was expecting 630bhp-ish, but the torque is around 20lb/ft up on what I was expecting. So pretty good really. The SRD FMIC and the Whifbitz 102mm exhaust make it so much more accessible and consistent.

true that power is so instant , just a quick one why does the boost drop off back to 1 bar from 1.4

surely if you kept it at 1.4 you would make more power

Im sure this must have something to do with safe gaurding the Gearbox, as I am sure that Johnny would be reaching the maximum safe Torque figure, without getting his gears treated/upgraded

im not to sure thats the case as the torque is at its lowest when the boost is low, you would expect the boost curve to be more arched to save a gear box at max torque earlier on, 3000rpm you would want the 1 bar and 1.4 nearer the end as the torque drops off i would of thought, i might be wrong thats why i asked the question

Yea, true. Just look after the torque in the midrange and they are monsters. It's not cost a huge amount though:

- SRD stage 4 ~ £2500

- Milltek Cast Downpipes ~ £360

- Whifbitz 102mm exhaust ~ £1300

- SRD FMIC ~ £1200

- Ecutek remap ~ £800

I have also gone for bigger brakes and a better overflow bottle for cooling.

Well, a small update. I've had a fair amount done to the car (not engine) over the last few weeks.

Firstly, the Litchfield suspension upgrade has transformed the ride quality. It's now a lot more comfortable and has removed (most of) the understeer that you can get when pressing on, more importantly, it retains the factory integration with Race, Normal and Comfort modes. It's superb.

I then had the audio completely overhauled.

Just a few pics of the updates. I have a non-Bose car. Upgrade this time was:-

New Hertz HSK 165XL High Power 2 Way Front Speakers

    Install Bit One Processor

Install Planet Audio BB75.4 Power amp (bridged for 2 x 150w)

Install carbon dipped Bose cover for the subs

Integrate existing Sundown sub amp into Bit One control

Dip and Install extended carbon trim pack for the interior panels

Tune up the Bit One for driver focus

These Hertz 165XL drivers will take up to 250w RMS so serious bits of kit !

Top quality Audison Reference and Competition Wiring and Solid Brass Components used throughout

Amp and bit one hidden out of the way with a USB lead available to bring out under the seat for laptop tuning

New Bose cover to replace the non-Bose cover and some nice carbon dipping

All hidden speakers so looks factory fit

Very happy with it :)

The latest EcuTek version 4 managed to eek out a few more bhp, so I'm now at 633bhp and 638lb/ft.
