  1. There all the same so just shop around, i was with one company for a while on the supra and had very good prices, i moved to the BMW and the price went up 30 % for a less valuable, less powerful unmodded car. Car insurance is a joke, just like the AA etc, they don't reward you for being a loyal customer, infact they penalise you.
  2. Go to your local good garage and ask them, its not rocket science to do and then you don't pay specialist rates that you don't really need.

    Nankang NS2's

Has anyone tried these on a Supra or any other car for that matter ?
  4. Don't use thinners use brake cleaner
  5. If you kept the numbers down to 10 cars and 20 people it wouldn't be too hard to get together and plan a similar rd trip. A return trip from B'ham using the Rico rally route would cost around £700 in fuel plus hotels on route along with food & drink, i'd think you'd do the whole trip for under £2k a car with 2 of you in it as long as your weren't stopping at silly expensive hotels.
  6. Sounds and looks like fun but £1960 for 2 of you in one car seems a little steep to me
  7. I'd be having a close look at all the coolant hoses as well while your at it
  8. Do the tippex test on the crank pulley and to help narrow down the noise take the aux belt off and then run the engine
  9. While your doing this i'd treat it to a new thermostat and rad cap from Toyota as well
  10. AC refrigerant doesn't work like that and should last a lot longer than a week before it loses its cooling ability, 2-3 years easily on a system that's working correctly To the op give Ibrar a call as he does AC re gasses and does all the checks etc If its not leaked the gas then i'd guess the compressor could have a problem
  11. I shall try and get hold of him, have you got any photo's of your wheels i could show him
  12. I use a guy in B'ham but to date he's only done motorcycle parts for me but they have been first class This is not a cheap process because they have to strip the old plating inc the nickle/copper plate that's under the chrome then they would be re polished then be re nickle/copper plated and re polished then the final re chrome I'd be surprised if they would be much under £200 per wheel if he can do them.
  13. As JP says drop the oil but into a clean container then pour it through a stretched stocking and you'll see any metallic bits easily as they will be left on the stocking. Good luck with it
  14. Have you checked the fluid level ? and what colour is it
  15. The for sale thread http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?285471-550-injectors
  16. Thats the only way i'd do it, get your self some sealer to re seal them, might pay to give Ibrar a call as i can't remember what he uses.
  17. 2 or 3 piece ? 2 piece yes 3 piece no
  18. No i just have the injectors, still in their protective bags unopened from Toyota, i was going to fit them to my car but i sold it a couple of months ago.
  19. I have 6 new 550 uk spec injectors for sale

    Engine Stand

I'd wait till you get the stand as you'll need to measure the length of the tubes on it. Possibly get HT all thread and make your own, think you need M12 X 1.25 but check that thread size as im not 100 %

    Engine Stand

From what i can see a tt engine without intake and turbos is 280 kg
  22. 41,000 miles and seals are failing ? My car had done 137000 miles when i sold it and the turbos were fine with no signs of any smoke. valve stem seals needed replacing at 100,000
  23. What do you mean when you say not running right ? If you have a missfire you can narrow it down by removing a ht lead 1 at a time off the dizzy cap which will show you which cylinder has a problem NA's have BKR5EIX IK20'S are the equivalent to BKR6EIX which you fit in a stock tt. 7's go in tt's running 1 to 1.3 bar
  24. Best get the geo checked if they were loose
