  1. Some rate them some hate them. I replaced all my suspension arms inc the adjusters etc with O/E Toyota and the parts bill alone was over £3k and that was a few years ago. If you have a ramp and are really geared up for the job it'll take you a good hard days work to replace like for like. Maybe longer if you have to cut some off due to the adjusters being seized and are impossible to get out.

I shan't argue the power figures as we all know how hit or miss they can be but i'm not so sure about the filtration test even with it being as simple as it was. I don't see where it says the dirt/dust was thrown at the front of the filters, i guess it could of been but even so the Blitz, Apexi & K&N are very similar in design so only the HKS mushroom type would potentially lose out if that was the case. I ran my car with the Apexi dual cone type for quite a few thousand miles/years and the engine was running very nicely and still on the original turbos at 140,000 miles. I think an up to date test as far as filtration goes could be a good idea but as far as an NA is concerned i'd stick with the O/E airbox and genuine O/E filter. Even on TT's as we know getting colder air from outside the engine bay is the way to go and very little if any gain is to be had using induction kits

Have you tested these or have links to any tests ? I always thought K & N were one of the best with Blitz & HKS being some of the worst
  6. I haven't used them re core any intercoolers but they have done radiators for me which were always very good with no problems. Might be worth a call http://www.readyrads.co.uk
  7. Why not get yours re cored
  8. Nice and subtle, looks like a supras driven into the back of a Q7 from the front angle
  9. More info required or better still a good video with sound would be a help

  11. Yes sorry i skim read your post a tad, you'd need to take the diff out the casing and remove a few parts but not necessarily a total strip
  12. I used the Apexi dual cone type on my car for a number of years with no problems but i fabricated my own pipe and flange to connect it to the MAF. I also fabricated my own hard pipes so i could use the o/e airbox if i wished in conjunction with a HKS R spec fmic
  13. Are there no engineering shops near you that could do the measurements for you ? Looks pretty straight forward to me if they had a cnm machine and take under 1 hr to do
  14. It would because without the cap on its not pressurising so if done for long enough the water will boil just like it does in a kettle and it only has 1 place to come out which is the rad neck. If the caps on it wont boil as long as the system isn't full of air but take the cap off in this situation and it will launch out the rad neck because its now under pressure at around 1.1 bar depending what pressure rated cap your using.
  15. Once the stat has opened and the heaters blowing nice and hot you should put the rad cap back on and fill the expansion tank to the max line. Then take it for a run keeping an eye the temp gauge and if alls well it should sit at normal temp, then turn it off and leave to cool down, taking the cap off while its hot is a no no as it'll be under pressure thus erupting out the rad like it did.
  16. I was going to comment but the thread will get closed or removed so no point saying anything. All i'll say is, do your homework and do proper checks yourself, check through every cars paperwork thoroughly including checking the car over thoroughly regarding its condition and if it actually has parts fitted to it listed in the advert. Take someone that knows about mkiv's with you when you view where ever your going, even private sales from members on here !! Don't pay stupid money for an old car that's no longer commanding high values Look beyond the paintwork and big wheels, an old un loved Supra will be a money pit
