You can google this on ebay. You will see how it looks at the rear from the seller photos. It has to be sort of pryed off with a flat screw driver. Behind that is the mounting square plates that are held by a screw each holding the pillar trim in place with its two grommets.

Good day fellow JZA80 owners. I am trying to figure out one of my control modules and where they go and are mounted. If it is possible, can people upload photos of the different ones on the car for me please. I know of the Engine control module and the throttle control module that is mounted beside it. I am unsure as to which one I have. Mine is black in colour with a blue connector female style plug but on the left of it there is what looks like an auxiliary cable input or the stereo antenna cable of some sort. Please help. NB there is no part number on it hence I cant find it on the parts catalogue

Hello fellow JZA80 owners. So I was down this weekend sorting out my dash board and the panels. I am trying to mount what I can and get my head around certain things using forum photos where applicable and part numbers as well as associated diagrams. I am in a fix with regards to the cubby holder or glove compartment panel. I seem to be missing the small steel bar, similar thing found under the bonnet and on the rear boot lid which allows the lock to engage over it or into it. Anyone can upload a photo for me of how there's looks under the dash there and probably supply me a part number pls . Idiots seemed to have removed this on mine but I will try and source one later. Thanks in advance:d

Me, nope. I am still learning. I do have a downloaded manual of the LHD car though which I got off the American forum. I am sure if you look there you might find an answer. I dont know if the LHD and RHD model wiring schematics differ or not either. Thanks for your response though.

Dont know how you guys manage to do it, but man every job I seen under that diff redone looks super sweet. Keep it up man. Well done. Lovely car as well

Nice. Someone here used a different box and can actually document what they did to get speedo working? A guy locally used a bm box as well and got a place to modify his cluster so it works with GPS speed somehow. Dono what they did but I would prefer using a speed sensor similar to what the oem auto or manual toyota boxes are using if I were to opt this route. Off topic, does the CD009 also use similar speed drive sensor like toyota or do we also have to make some other modification to work? There is a guy in my area doing manual bm boxes to auto supras. You supply him the box out of an E36 M3 and he custom makes a flywheel and housing and makes the shifter work as well as mode the drive shaft from box to diff. I have felt one car done by him and the clutch felt like oem butter type.

post number 4, I use the same one as Big Mark. Has parts listing just no prices. Apparently toyota uses that system as well in my area

Project UFO ! Restoration after over 7 years of neglect
SupraTRD_MK4 replied to supra_ufo's topic in mkiv Supra Projects
Hey there UFO. Them Defi gauges, if you have just the gauges, what else would you need a part from the wiring for them and the sensors to make them actually work? I have a boost, oil and fuel psi gauges in mine in a mounting pod but no wiring or sensors or Defi controller. -
Man that aint no turbo but love your detailed work and cleaning. Keep it up.

Good day all I will be needing one after I have acquired other parts. I have seen a listing for it on Ebay mentioning both are the same which I believe is nonsense. I tried fitting the one I have on the left and with a slight fuss, it would not go into the left panel. So I tried it on the right side panel above the key hole and mirror adjuster and it went in. I have verified the part numbers and they differ. I am slightly confused as if I ever pull the gun on the item from this seller, I may be sold the incorrect one which they believe is the same for both sides. Please assist? It is a RHD car and cluster panel surround.

Lovely man. If you want to confirm the vin, use Toyo DIY or the Europe Toyota page that Toyota agents use. It will show entire listing of car details. By the way, how did you get the parts from Japan? I am in need of some items and am waiting over a month now from my agents for one part which does not show discontinued on the system.

That is beautiful Spunk. Do you know where you bought yours from? I will make an inquiry with Schrott for them as their video depicted the same buckle. Thanks for helping me out -
Racing seats, seat harness/belts and harness mounting bar info
SupraTRD_MK4 replied to SupraTRD_MK4's topic in mkiv Technical
I can but taking photos will haveta find the time. I would appreciate yours as well. Ideas help alot. Only buckle is the one on the waist. The belt system looks like a U where the bottom joins over waist and the sides of the U go over shoulders. They have triangles on the end with the mounting holes. Bar doesnt have that. Only has rectangles evenly spaced for the belt to go through and not cross one another. As far as I recall, I cannot remove that triangle unless I cut it. I think it would deem the harness useless then. Guess you right, if I dont win will just buy replacement ones. Appreciate your response Spunkmeyer -
What year model car do you have and what year model are those seats out of? I would look at wiring diagrams and figure it from there on. Probably heated seat function or another adjusting feature which yours doesn't have or someone changed the plug. You could use straight wire to wire connections but covered so they don't short on one another or try and source the correct plug for what you need. If your 3pin plug on your car is OEM, then you need to maybe change the seat plug to a 3 pin as well. I would get some male and female 3 way connectors and populate them with that ensuring the correct wire is connected up with the same and see from there. As I mentioned, best bet would be to work with a wiring diagram so you know what colour is used for what purpose.

Good day mates I am really unhappy with what I have to work with. To be honest if I found someone local willing to swap me working seat bolsters, belts and good condition seats, I would swap it all in a heart beat. Maybe I am frustrated but I also was never a fan of racing seats. So I have Sparco reclinable race seats, 4 point Sparco seat belts and a Sparco harness bar that mounts to the rear of your head in the original seat belt mount points on the B pillars I believe they are. I see the lap/waist mounts are tied down on the OEM belt section near the floor. So that's fine I guess. I however have the other two straps going over shoulders through the seats and somewhere they suppose to mount. I cannot fold them up and around the bar and tie them down to the bar as I don't have that sliding bracket and secondly because at the end, there is those triangle looking mount plates on the shoulder straps. I would assume they need to go to the floor at the back seats or 45 degrees below to the back seat mount points to floor board. Any ideas? Anyone can chime in with photos or tell me what should I do with this or how can I make it work? I found an article by Takata on a racing website explaining how they work and why you want to mount it like this and not this way and so on. I also watched a video on Youtube by Shcrott racing belts. So the belt straps for shoulder would need to be 0 to 20 degree lower then my shoulder height or the point where they come out through the seat. How I mount this is beyond me. As I said, would probably need to buy that other sliding bracket. Think I need to change them otherwise unless I can find someone willing to swap them out for me with the OEM stuff. Anyone have this set up? Have done this before with a mate? Know what I can do? Help much appreciated. Oh and the belts aren't expired so don't wana just chuck'em out yet.

Congrats on your hard work. As well as well done on your patience and perseverance man. Definitely paying off. I like the way those people in the U.S at Jacks transmissions redone your tranny as well as took alot photos for your documentation process. Real nice of them. See they do their pre-loading different as they mentioned to you that Toyota manual has it incorrectly noted down? This car looks superb hey. Could you tell me who Lee is and how do I contact him? Keep up the hard work man. Was thinking this post was so old it probably ended by now. See the car is perhaps 70 to 80% there now? Once again well done Jazz

Anyone looking for a brand new one, Ebay has one for sale. Seller mentions more in stock however did not query as I still have all my 4. Whether they are working or not, only time will tell.

Thanks for the boot photo Shawn. Naa think that does it. I see the difference there. The panels have like an opening or fixture that holds the targa roof in place.

Moo's - Widebody Aerotop Turbo Manual - Build Thread - CCW's !
SupraTRD_MK4 replied to Mugello's topic in mkiv Supra Projects
Yoh man this is insane work. Congrats and keep it up. Was looking forward to see you mounting the fuel cap but thats noob but you have wide rear fenders and so does mine but I for the life of me cant figure out mine. Think they hit a mess up with the shape of the fender or the flap for the tank. -
Hello there yet again. I need help or instructions as to how to use this forum completely as this will be my new home for my project car for the 3 years to come Lord willing. I managed to obtain a 1993 auto twin turbo but I am missing a few things to get the car complete again. Will start a new thread when I find the time and upload photos.
-
Was wondering if any turbo owners were responding on this topic or not. All I can say is, if you bought a turbo supra, you bought it for that reason. Not cause we bother bout the fuel consumption. Any fast high powered car drinks fuel. If you complain whilst owning one (not that people really are and if you are, pardon me as I meant no harm) then you no different than people asking to modify their engine to gain more power but still want fuel economy. Drive a diesel in that case or a 1 litre Yaris/Vitz
-
Hey Shawn congrats. Thats one sexy piece of machine right there. Black in a Aerotop is really something. Those speakers and steering are an eye sore for me but yeah glad you decided to get the oem steering wheel. Why no photo of the boot with the targa top placed inside?

Off topic Mike but how in the world that occurred man?

Why you dissing the poor N/A motor man. I read up that even the n/a motor is good for 500hp roughly with bigger injectors and cometic gasket and maybe different pistons. It is definitely not the worse engine option thats why Jessie said its got potential.
