Some serious paint work, lots of shiny parts, and finishing the interior. The car over the course of a weeks should come on leaps and bounds, and I seriously cant wait. In the mean time I intend to keep tinkering with the smaller mundane bits and enjoy driving it some more. Recognise the car I'm parked next to? ....good times. Actually this time im not, I like them weirdly these days. I use to hate the orange ones but part of me has warmed to them. Im thinking of lightly tinting them once they are off the car. ripped_fear Posted February 16, 2016 Author Share Posted February 16, 2016 So today following on from a couple of threads re some smoke, I carried a compression test and all was good. Across all 6 cylinders the compression ratings came up within tolerance, and with a difference of around 9psi from the 180 highest to 171 lowest So bellow the 14psi threshold which is great news. Means that the smoke is looking to be either the valve stem seals Which I'm doing this winter anyway, but could potentially be the start of a little turbo oil seel ware. So will be considering my options for fixing this over the next few weeks. The mechanic Colin which I trust highly said the smoke was allot less than he was expecting from what I had said, but I am a worrier He also has a contact at a hybrid company so may look into this as an option but Im not going to rush into anything.
