Project: Ric's Gunmetal Carbon Ridox

Those WORK wheels are a similar style to the old Blitz Technospeeds, you might find a set of them for a reasonable price if you look around.

I saw these too, wasnt too keen on the rivet/bolt look though.

Works are ordered now, here in 4-5 weeks.

Hi Ric,

I've been watching the progress of this, It's a great build, nice work mate.

Just one thing I feel I should mention, don't want to put a downer on this but just keep an eye on the seal retaining clip rings on those calipers. I had an issue with mine.

I did post up a thread with photos but can't seem to locate it.

The ends of the rings curl inwards slightly and cut into the new seals. I returned mine back to Bigg Red for a refund and forked out for Toyota items.

It's just an issue with the band types and not the round wire type clips. If you look at yours, you might notice that the seal will be pinched at the gap between the rings.

It may not be an issue at all but I don't like taking any chances with brakes. :)

Quiet time on the thread while im working away.

Thought i'd update with a few parts i've got collecting at home, driving the missus crazy with parts allover.

As I've committed going to the Japshow finale on the 12th Oct I've suddenly realized I've got a shed load to do when i get back in the UK! on the 16th Sept.

Parts to fit are:

  • Passenger and Drivers glass
  • UK Brakes, Discs
  • Braided lines
  • New Turbo's
  • Polished turbo pipes
  • replace the accordion pipes
  • Stem seals
  • Water pump
  • Timing Belt
  • Full service
  • Rear defuser
  • Triple Apillar pod
  • Gauges
  • Wheels
  • Coilovers
  • Speaker Brackets
  • Amp
  • possibly a new carbon rear spoiler to fit.

There is probably a few more i can't think of either, anybody in Sheffield with a few spare days to lend a hand would be great haha.

More to come soon.

Ric I can lend a hand on some odd days on the weekend, i would recommend buying drop links if your doing coilovers

also get the heat gun ready as the turbo nuts are a nightmare!

Ill be a liar if i said i wasn't worried about my offset and width calculations, but im glad to say they fit OK.

The wheels are turned a little bit to the left here, but they are flush and go up into the arches as you'd expect

No pics until they are properly fitted and the coil overs have been done, though.
