  1. Cheers dnk that seems like a good thing to have as well as a normal alarm as it doesn’t seem to do locking or anything like that. Any advice on any alarms in particular? I had a laser alarm fitted and then put the car into the body shop where they then managed to dismantle half the alarm so now that’s a load of scrap! 500 quid down the drain.wish I could get the original key for and alarm to work.
  2. Hi folks, Just wondering what some of you may have done to try and deter people from stealing your car other than putting it into a garage or parking other cars in front of it. I’ll have an alarm fitted and also a wheel lock added. I’m thinking of fitting a kill switch for the fuel pump also. Any other ingenious ways?
  3. I hope they actually start to produce more parts and it’s not a thing to just get them over the line.... “yes of course we supply parts for your classic toyota! Well...as long as it’s only the door handles you need”
  4. Still here also In the midst of getting her mechanically sound. hopefully i will be over to drive it before the end of the year
  5. Hi mate, I have one that’s never been used if your still interested
  6. Hi all, still on the lookout for one of these with no damage please
  7. This is exactly the reason I come back to whenever I think of selling my own Mr2. They are brilliantly fun cars and I don’t even fit right in mine....hence the reason I got the supra
  8. Those look brilliant! Smart how you have the OEM font ect as that’s what put me off the metal monkey dials. Would be really interested in getting a set of these if and when the time comes
  9. Ok and just out of interest whats the company you sell from? Thanks for the quick reply and clearing it up for me.
  10. SRD seem to have the ones that are the proper article.... https://www.srdtuning.com/product/hks-2jzgte-cam-pulleys/
  11. http://www.garagewhifbitz.co.uk/toyota/supra/engine-components/pulleys-belts/hks-816.html Same gears on whifbitz...
  12. Hi all, Just going through the parts that were fitted by the previous owner and ive found a knock-off HKS dump valve that's now been replaced but ive also found that my hks cam gears could be fakes too. One website says that the blue types are prone to wear and haven't been seen in a HKS rep dealer. But they can be found on whifbitz? The same purple and blue cams? Wouldn't have thought whifbitz sold knockoffs? https://www.dsmtuners.com/threads/hks-cam-gears-real-vs-fake-the-good-and-ugly.511811/ Any help on the matter would be appreciated as I'm trying to weed out all the bad bits done on my car previously. Cheers Kyle
  13. Thanks lads for getting back to me as quickly as you have. I’ll see and change the gearbox and diff oil as I hadn’t thought of that. I’ll have a look at a few threads to see how I would know if the stems need done. Is there only one fuel pump in these? Any other things that come to mind drop them down. Thanks again folks! Just trying to get my car on the road and have it as well looked after as I can. Cheers Kyle
  14. Hi all, In the process of now getting my car mechanically up to scratch. After getting the following: HKS Cam belt Water pump Engine oil Oil filter Fuel filter Cam belt tensioner Aux belt The car has done 102k and also been pretty much sat up for the last 7 years so any advice on other parts that are maybe worth refreshing would be hugely appreciated. Also remember being told something about the valves having something done to them after 60K? Re seated maybe? Reshimmed? Thanks in advance Kyle
  15. Right back again looking for this front crash bar haha anyone have one let me know. It’s the last bit I need to finish the bodywork I’m getting done. Thanks Kyle
  16. Missed it so still looking for one if anyone has one? Thanks Kyle
  17. Ah fuck! I'll try get a hold of him! Thanks mate
  18. How's things folks? Been a while since I've been on here! Cars almost done and I'm down to the last bits now! So if anyone has a front crashbar lying around that you want rid of let me know. Thanks in advance Kyle
  19. Just after dropping into the "average mileage on a mk4" thread and it got me thinking. Is there a way of finding out the history of your car before it arrived on uk/Irish shores? As mine has 102k on the clock with miles beside it but it's a jap import so.... I wonder how many of that 102k is in km. Any enlightenment is greatly appreciated as always. Thanks
  20. That's a cracker you have there! Like the gram lights too! As said already, stay stockish or atleast keep the parts so it can be easily converted back if you were to sell at a later date.
  21. Ok the link doesn't seem to work. ill try again. https://www.carthrottle.com/post/this-manual-twin-turbo-mkiv-toyota-supra-is-a-130000-dream/
  22. No I apologise in advance if you jumped into this thread thinking *i wonder what cool wheels he's on abaou?!?*. They are standard enough wheels but I didn't think the supra had their wheels upgraded though all the time it was on sale so any sort of information would be appreciated. http://https://www.carthrottle.com/post/this-manual-twin-turbo-mkiv-toyota-supra-is-a-130000-dream/ Thanks folks [GRIN][/GRIN]
