Hmm ok I’ll have a look at the voltage output and then investigate the ecu although I found it odd how it tried to get into second and bogged down...dash went dull and then I picked up again. Rest of the journey was grand and I slowed down later to see if I could try and get it to happen again and it seemed perfect. I’ll have a look. Many people replace the capacitors in the ecu ect?

Hi all, small issue I noticed tonight whilst driving the car. Was slowly driving around a car park, so the car must have been either first or second but it was then changing between first and second as if it couldn’t decide what gear was best. It then started to bog down and the dials on the dash dimmed. I’m thinking it’s an alternator issue but would this make the auto gearbox act the way it did? Car has been sitting up for the guts of two years so what are your thoughts. Auto fluid and filter were both changed within the last 3 months so I can rule that out. Didn’t notice any lights on the dash either. Let me know your thoughts.

Perthshire mate. Also have a set of is200/300 grand stand alloys for sale. Bought them for £300 so I’ll be selling them for the same. Just used them for moving the supra around while it was getting sprayed

Have a strut bar that came one the car when I got it just collecting dust so if anyone is interested I’ll take 30 quid plus postage on it. Excuse the dust and dirt as it’s just been sitting for two years now.

Hi all, I recently purchased a full set of oem shocks and springs from here ( milage is the following from the original advert for them. 155000km (= 97000 miles), from a 1996 JDM Supra These look to be in good nick for the milage and age. I can take new photos once I actually open the box myself. So £550 is what I’m looking for. Pm for more details

And how much further can you push them safely? Is it worth the cost in your opinion?

Hi all, I did search this already and to my surprise found nothing so I was wondering if anyone ever sent their tt’s over the pond to get upgraded by suprastore? Is it quite an outdated mod compared to a good single setup? Thanks folks

175mph on a bpu auto? Jesus. Didn’t realise that it could get to that but then I have the jap restrictor still on mine . I see what your getting at though. Would imagine the Mr2 would be more suited to backroads giving the size ect. Get a mk2 Mr2 turbo and see how you feel then around the twisties

Great read. Nice seeing the other motors you have also (Still fighting the m5 and 7 series urge). So overall do you rather the manual over the auto? Lovely looking cars. Your hardly chuwa on whatsapp are you?

Has anyone recoded a key fob to work with the oem alarm/central locking? Also what key fobs came standard with the supra? Was it the same fob the Mr2 and celica got at the time? Thanks in advance

I know this isn’t an overly interesting question but does anyone have a recommendation for a battery that looks half nice in the engine bay and does it’s job? just being kept in the oem place with the original bracket. It’s on a prefacelift car. I know it’s not interesting but hey ho.

Alright folks, Hopefully have my car over here for a little meet on the 6th of September if anyone’s interested in joining me. 8pm until whenever. Hopefully see you there

Hi john, I think I will do that but I might actually put the switch in the boot close to where the pump is. It wouldn’t be the first place someone would look as it’s not exactly a convenient place. It’s just for when I leave the car overnight. Not for if I just go into a shop or a restaurant.
