    excited

Read somewhere that Kim's old supra is going to the UK?
  3. Thanks for the kind words Colin.
  4. ^^http://mkiv.com/techarticles/auto_to_6spd_swap/differential/index.html link has moved to http://mkiv.com/techarticles/auto_to_6spd_swap/differential/index.html When I'm at it I can measure them off course, no problem.
  5. Cheers Jos, yes going to exchange the lot, the package is a complete package from an tt-6 speed ie B03B differential, including the correct propeller shaft and correct rear driveshafts. Propshaft differs in length as the rear left driveshaft.
  6. ^^Sourced an B03B diff to exchange my A02B with, something for coming winter as I want to clear the diff from oxidation and give it some treatment before installation including fresh differential oil. ^^Some adjustments on the rear license plate to get it fit better.
  7. Owner posted two you tube links on sf here is one, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YhVkYFQH9I&feature=endscreen&NR=1 I wonder if there is any filter units installed upstream the compr.housings.
  8. All te best Rob, really excited what figures will come out.
  9. 3mm spacer up front is to clear uk front brakes if you mean the model ''classics'' from ccw other models as the LM20's fits without spacers, well that is with the common setup ccw provides ie 10J up front and 11,5J in the rear.
  10. Nice:cool:, only the 2 step testing part is taken too close imo, but overall nice clip. Are you going to attend the Texas mile event again in the future? What differential is used in the 223.3 standing mile run if I may ask?
  11. If it it will remove any left overs of brake dust and other contaminents I'll use just that, thanks for the tip!
  12. Awesome to see yours and Richard's supra together on the pictures, they look great.
  13. Thanks Stonkin, just received the two bottles and pad from the delivery guy, the Gtechniq c5 is only like 15ml or so, it's a very small tiny bottle, will see if I can do all 4 rims with this little is it just whipe in with the delivered pad and whipe off with an MF towel? Need to order some more car care products before I can apply as I don't have a CarPro eraser for example, to undo the rims from contaminents.
  14. Can't agree more with you, they're a nightmare. Just ordered these three GTechniq wheel care products, one bottle of P1 nanocomposite polish one small bottle of C5 wheel armour and one fp1 tri-foam polish pad. Will order one pot of the poor boys too next week, how often do I use the poor boys then, after I used the above three in the right order.
  15. Thanks for your reply and all the links, I find the Gtechnique c5 wheel armour is quite an expensive wheel care product, i will order a small one of these, and will get one of those poor buys and chemical guys sealants too.
  16. Thanks Marc, through your tip I phoned the representative of Gtechniq products BeNeLux, I will order the C5 wheel armour. Did you ever had some small clouds in/on the lips?
  17. ^^That made me laugh, but no, I'm not going to store here yet, summer is coming,
  18. I was wondering what kind of products you use and how you keep your polished wheels or polished lips in excellent condition , and where to get these products from. thanks.
  19. Round about 350whp.
  20. Happy times, very nice purchase, that roll cage looks awesome! Have a nice meal!
  21. Good luck guys and enjoy the trip, are you going for a 1300hp+ supra?
  22. If you go to this link http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/index.html#other_mods scroll down a little bit and you can playback the infamous ''dead whine''. Hope its not the same sound,
  23. Used to have an Olympus E420 which uses DSLR technology I now use the new Olympus E-PM1 which is an very compact system camera which also uses DSLR, Full HD filming capabilities in 720p and 1080p, 12MP 3"lcd 12800 ISO and lots of more tasty options. Really happy with it and the auto focus is amazingly fast, not comparable to the old regular canon D450 D500 series or Olympus E series.
  24. ^^It's difficult to explain in a few sentences, good question though, been busy since yesterday evening to gather some information as I'm not aware how far you are with knowledge when it comes to tires, compounds for different applications, tire manufacturing processes with their chemical ingredients which are carefully chosen to produce a batch of a certain tire for a certain application. I'm not a specialist nor a chemist but if you know what contact patch is ideal for your application, you then can choose your tire width's and your personal preference in compounds, due to the different compounds you have to choose what for your area and goals is ideal. I mean if you want longevity more then too lose a little bit of traction, well it's all about preference's. ^^ Are you going to use your application in all weathercircumstances? ie rain, cold temps, below 0 degrees, above 10 degrees or are you an sunny day only driver. 20 plus degrees? If you look into the different continents, for example, down here in the Netherlands most of the year the temperature is below 20 degrees, and you can see how many water felt out of the sky according the weather statistics. If you have a few parameters it will deffinately help you as a tire customer in choosing the right tire for your application. IE it is really difficult to say what tire is the best performing, as it really depends on a few more parameters When it comes to tires and grip and their markings you can always have a look into the DOT approved R compound tires, but you can also see the tires treadwear as the tires tread is the actual layer of the tire which makes contact with the road, well the tread wear is a few digit number which says something about the tread wear, We can assume that a tire with 140 wears out faster then a tire with a treadwear rating of 200, we can also assume that both tires have a different bottle of ingredients in them when they were produced. What we can assume also is that the tire with a 140 rating is softer then the 200 rated tire, softer tires improves performance in some cases if you want that, but on the other hand if you need to drive the 24hrs of le mans for example with as low pitstops as you can you want the tires to wear out slower, so as said it's about preferences really. Treadwear grades are an indication of a tire's relative wear rate. The higher the treadwear number is, the longer it should take for the tread to wear down. A control tire is assigned a grade of 100. Other tires are compared to the control tire. For example, a tire grade of 200 should wear twice as long as the control tire.Of current tires: 15% are rated below 200 25% are rated 201 - 300 32% are rated 301 - 400 20% are rated 401 - 500 6% are rated 501 - 600 2% are rated above 600 ^^treadwear bridgestone potenza RE050A example ^^treadwear Kumho Ecsta XS example Information gathered from, http://www.safercar.gov/Vehicle+Shoppers/Tires/Tires+Rating#wear , http://auto.howstuffworks.com/tire.htm , http://www.chm.bris.ac.uk/webprojects2003/hancock/manufacture.html , http://www.europeancarweb.com/tech/0408ec_performance_tire_guide_r_compounds/index.html , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tire , http://tyres.wordpress.com/2009/03/26/tyre-tread-compounds/ , http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible_pg3.html,
