  1. BECAUSE IT IS ILLEGAL, and puts up everyone tax.
  2. Consider that you have passed enormous amounts of energy through the side wall of the tyre to damage the alloy like that. Now would you go 70mph down the motorway knowing you had a potentially VERY badly damaged side wall on that tyre. For your own life and that of others on the road. Throw the tyre away. The consequences do not bear thinking about.
  3. I think you can also be done for preferential treatment of creditors. For example you should not sell stock to pay some creditors rather than others. This helps http://www.businessrecoveryadvice.co.uk/html/responsibility/intro.asp#againstdirectors
  4. Not entirely true. If a Director can be argued to have acted negligently or in certain knowledge that the actions of the Company were illegal then the Director can be held responsible as an Officer of the Company and pursued personally. Ceasing trading offers more protection to the Directors than liquidation. Ceasing Trading is a limbo and most people get bored and go away. Liquidation forces resolution but it depends how high up the creditors list you are after HMRC, bank, staff etc.
  5. Someone should have seen me, silver aero on the A30 from Exeter to Truro and back again. Like you say not many about. Did see a silver one in Truro a few weeks ago but he was not looking.
  6. Post up a pic. The best plan is to NOT damage the alloy so let's have a look and see what we can do.
  7. Uneducated I would say but definately a spark in there somewhere.
  8. I see lots of negatives written here about who she was and what she did. She did not do any real harm and I cant see any other reason why she would inspire so much hate other than jealousy. My God, I never thought I would be ever have to defend JG..
  9. I can cope with the jokes but I cant cope with the downright coldness of some of the sentiments. No matter who she was or what she did she was a fellow human being who suffered a terrible death and has left a husband and children behind. Leave aside any other considerations and put the boot on the other foot.
  10. Fair point well said. Some of the posts on this forum do nothing for our group image and makes us all seem bigotted, uncaring and sometimes very disrespectful of others.
  11. Works for my kids too. Its amazing how much time they would spend on the damn things if you let them.
  12. Having a gob opening bigger than your ar$sehole opening is not a disability.
  13. A universal truth. Colour and race having nothing to do with being a lazy, scrounging, self excusing sack of sh1t. But It does make it easier for people to write to the Daily Mail
  14. Sounds like yours is early. Babies are a lot more resilient than we assume. We had a niece over the weekend. Her heart stopped during labour, had to be ventused out. Lots of huffing and puffing and pulling and a day in the baby care unit but alright. The docs take every precaution just to be certain so I trust all will be well for you as well.
  15. And today's Darwin Award goes to Mr. Plank
  16. If you live in a home this is not an issue. If you live in an investment then it is a problem. A lot of greedy people have conned many into thinking about houses in the wrong way. We will shortly be hearing from those who will endeavour to gain from the misery of the misguided and tell us all how they will snap up loads of cheap properties and amass a portfolio which they expect will increase in value and then ultimately sell on for a profit. I wonder if we will hear of anyone (private or financial mortgage/landlord) helping out some unfortunate family by giving them a rent or mortgage holiday so they can stay in their home.
  17. Yes, I agree BUT this is a report that is somewhat backed up by Darling, even if he does not come out and say it (they never tell the truth anyway) the predictions he made for growth etc are well out of synch and all the indicators are there for this report to have a good foundation. "The Chancellor used a speech to prepare the ground for slashing growth forecasts that now appear wildly optimistic. In November, he had predicted that the economy would shrink by about 1 per cent this year, before growing by about 1.75 per cent in 2010. He is expected to tear up those predictions in next month's Budget. "
