  1. Shut up Carl. The bloke is plainly an idiot and you are making yourself out to be a twat when you argue against the obvious. Don't you feel even slightly out of step with what others are saying. Have some balls and say it like it is. Its easy, just write "The guy is an idiot".
  2. I can quote a line from the end of Robocop2 when the Chairman and Johnson are leaving the Civic Centrum (after the big battle between Cain and Murphy) and stepping over the casualties to get to the limo. Johnson says something like "The dead wont bother us" and The Chairman replies "They always have relatives"
  3. Enercon, ...the bolts securing the blade to the turbine's hub "exhibited classic signs of fatigue failure". Though the bolts themselves had shown no flaws, it seemed a component part on either side had "induced stress in the bolts beyond their design limits". Aliens - seriously!!!!!!!!!!! Although an engineer somewhere will have brown pants at the thought of the repercussions of that design decision.
  4. http://www.carstyling.ru/cars.1935_Cord_Model%20810_slash_812.html 100% agree.
  5. Many thanks for the heads up. Will get busy this weekend.
  6. I suggested sterilisation for idiots. Is that as bad? lol
  7. Says it all really. He did not look to me like he was about to commit suicide or any one of a hundred other bleeding heart causes.
  8. That's all right then. I thought you were an advert addict.
  9. Very nearly another of what the coroner would describe as a death occurring in circumstances the continuance or possible recurrence of which is prejudicial to the health or safety of the public. All sorts of verdict can be given but a narrative verdicy - "Fooking Idiot" is generally left to those of us who say it like we see it. Especially when it is not a suicide or unlawful killing or industrial accident etc.
  10. No probs Carl. You have a kind heart.
  11. Maybe so. I strive to be diplomatic and fair minded and reasonable all of the time but this guy is an idiot and was millimetres away from serious injury or death to himself and possibly life long nightmares for the CCTV operator, train driver, medics, pedestrians etc as well as untold delays, costs for us all and misery for his close family and friends. I have feeling for all those people. That idiot obviously did not. What he did was totally avoidable and reckless with no concern for himself or others. Please consider what an accident is - it certainly is not something that is avoidable or reckless. Just to set the record straight. My wife sat on a coroners jury about eight years ago for one of these idiots. She still can't talk about what they read in the report (at an emotional level) other than to say it was the most grotesque thing she has ever read. Thankfully they found most of the body so at least kids and dogs had less chance of picking up stray bits in the days afterwards. They heard evidense from the paramedics, police forensics, train driver, witnesses on the other side, his mates who were with him and heard from his parents. Without exception everyone of them broke down in tears and many had counselling afterwards. Fookin idiot and very lucky not to have caused a massive amount of upset for everyone else. edit - by the way, my Mrs had nightmares as well after experiencing that. Thank God the Coroner did not require them to see any pictures other than after the scene had been cleared all marked with X's and arrows.
  12. Quite honestly if they cant associate a barrier, warning bell and tracks upon which a couple of hundred tons of metal is about to hurtle down with an inherent risk and then they deliberately pass into danger it should not surprise any of us that they get killed. Its natures way of dealing with idiots. The only problem is that the idiot got away with it and will breed more idiots to be a burden to us all. At the very least he should be sterilised to stop the human gene pool being contaminated. Maybe joking!
  13. Very nearly a candidate for the Darwin Awards. What an idiot.
  14. A new guy got MATTHEW earlier today.
  15. I have just had a play with seeing what available forum user/member names are available. Check out mk4 and then there is mk4supra, There are one or two 'normal' names available as well. ie, Freddy If anyone was to change their name what would they like it to be?
  16. Welcome, I am fairly new here as well. It takes a bit of getting into just because the forum is HUGE but you will find all the help and advise you need here. Just remember to try the search button first and that will give you a head start on most things if you don't know about the cars. Have fun
  17. stupid media. stupid people. meh!!!!!!!
  18. All too often the two blokes set upon another bloke, probably make him fall over, crack his head open, weeks off work or probably life threatening injuries and the two perpetrators walk away to brag to their chav mates how 'ard and clever they are. Plod can't do anything and society picks up the pieces and the cost. So happy slapping is not really that, it's common assault and it gives me a nice warm glow to see these two scumbags get a punch in the face as well. Pity it was not a bit harder IMO
  19. the best example of enthusiasm being let down by ability I have seen for a long time
  20. Same here, clear blue skies and sunshine - I am not kidding!!!!!
  21. Agreed, I live next town down. Too many people and too few houses keep the prices solid. We have seen a slow down but no great drop in value here. Its the old problem of local salaries do not meet the multiplier required for the mortgage. A good house here will cost about 250K but the average salary is less than 20K. Do the maths. locals can rarely afford to buy the nice houses so they go to incomers - like me!!! However, its not a good thing. My kids are now locals. Guess what they cant afford to buy here either. Big problem.
  22. How stupid can some people be. They are idiots just asking to get sued if they so much as scratch a pedestrian. Also just asking to be laid out cold on the pavement covered in blood if they touched most peoples car with them.
  23. Design and engineering graduates from the UK are some of the most highly sought in the world. Our graduate engineers are second to none. We are not talking about 'ology' graduates in some mickey mouse toilet paper degree but serious degrees here.
  24. Yeah well, the manufacturing industry said all that twenty years ago. Now we are totally fubarred. Limited skills, aged and almost retired skilled workforce and very few engineers in training that stay in the UK. Dont get me wrong we do have some centres of excellence but in the main we could not make a pot to p!ss in. As an example, name any white/brown/black goods that are manufactured in the UK. and compete in the world markets. I have a very good friend who is an engineer who has worked for fifty years in manufacturing and he will take all that accumulated skill out of the workforce at the end of this year. This guy is pure gold and the government should pay him NOT to retire. Skills like his are priceless but he has not had anyone to pass them on to for years. Well its too late now and he has had enough. Bloody criminal waste if you ask me.
