I had the same issue a while back but I just cleaned /scuffed up the shoes, re adjusted them and it was loads better Shoes don’t have much meat on them when there new as it’s just to hold the car I had the time to rip it apart but you might as well buy new shoes, strip it all apart, if they not worn I’d just clean, adjust and send the news ones back

If you want a nice import TT6 it seems your looking at 40-45k now UK model are harder to get and generally worth a little more depending on condition/rust etc

Thought I’d update this just in case anyone else had this issue I changed the spark plugs and all the coil clips and sweet as a nut

Yea Landrover used the engines too in there disco's .. i wanted the 3.0ltr .. no difference in prices for the 3.0ltr but they have more issues .. turbos, dpf's , EGR's and even engines.. Decided i didn't want the risk so went with the 2.2 .. Actually pull really well .. Getting it mapped in a few weeks

I’ve just bought a Jaguar XF 2.2 for my daily which are reliable engines .. cheap to run too you might have the odd door latch fail at some stage but apart from that there good cars

Yea on my TT6 sometimes the throttle doesn’t shut completely.. doesn’t go as high as it’s but if I blip it it goes down again .. I think the throttle cable might need changing If I use it more than a day it goes away.. think it where I just don’t use the car anymore

I always tax and mot my cars even if there not in use for long periods and it was down to a mates bike being stolen He has two bikes and alternates each year with them The bike that was sorn didn't have a MOT that year got nicked and only got half the value from the insurance due to he could not prove it was a road worthy vehicle

Might get myself a set and for the bike as there almost half price

I would Like to ideally replace all suspension arms which I will do at some point.. I do feel like ripping out the engine and doing some upgrades though lol I’m just worried it will take me years to put it back in lol Just a little note, I don’t sorn my cars, used too but not anymore Mate of mine had his motorbike nicked and when he claimed through his insurance they reduced the payout by a few grand because it didn’t have a MOT as he worked it and could not prove it was road worthy When I called my insurance up they told me it effected the claim if it didn’t have a MOT Something to think about
