  1. Im kinda the same, its on my mind and have good reasons for selling due to lake of use etc but something holding me back .. ive been through a lot with the car and know it be tough to bite the bullet. If someone offered me 55k i would have to have a very hard think of good reasons not get rid of it..
  2. Funny enough i was offered 40k not so long ago too. Had to really think hard to let it go or not lol
  3. I know a lot of you like myself have had there Supra's at least 10 years + and just wondered what your future plans for it is ? Ive owned my Supra for 16 years and done most of things i wanted to do with the car with shows, mag feature etc I still enjoy driving it to meets but im using the car less and less and i think its just a matter of time for me when i sell it If the value of the car was 10-15k id be happy keeping it but seeing some Supra's in the 50k mark makes me really think where i could put that money to better use then for it to be sitting in the garage lol
  4. It does seem high but I haven’t a clue what the UK market is and you obviously done your homework about how much a new import would cost these days which will always be a good ball park figure I really do hope you sell it as like most us of do … it only feels like yesterday TT6 we’re £30k i was offered £40k few months back which I really had to think about … if yours sells.. I’m bloody glad I kept it lol
  5. Holy sh**balls thats a lot of money will this be another bump for your everyday Supra’s ? I got offered a good sum of money for mine a few weeks ago and really came close selling but spoke to a few friends that convinced me to keep it a little longer at least
  6. Been there mate .. really feel for you my car was in the bodyshop for a complete colour change and bodykit. I knew the guy for years as he traded with us 2.5 years later he only added and kinda blended the rear bumper I went to the police and said I’m going to get my car no matter what.. what can he do legally about it.. they told as he done work no matter how big or small he legally allowed to keep it until he is paid the work. long story short I had to pay him £700 to get the car back I lost some of my original bumpers and door mirrors but I was just happy to get the car back at the time.. back then bumpers and mirrors wasn’t much value anyways personally I’d go round to his house if you know where he is… people like that boil my blood I never go with company’s without lots of research now.. and never have friends do anything either lol really hope you get your stuff back what engine was it ? TT ?
  7. not really no As far as i know Some cars like 4x4 use a brake tester inside the car instead of the rollers ... Sometimes they might give the car a quick run if the emissions are not passing to warm up the cat but generally no they shouldn't need a test drive Just spoke to a mot mate, the answer is no not for the MOT.. Soon as the MOT has started it cant leave the garage However He did mention that some garages will do a road test after the MOT as part of there policy to make sure the car safe when handing the keys back to the customer
  8. Thank you mate Yea im planning on going single or large twins at some stage but my house has recently swallowed a load of money but hopefully next year if all goes to plan.. no I haven’t tried the parallel set up, I like the sequential feel so have always kept it like it
  9. This has always been in the back of my mind to do, im a newbie to all of this but have just started on Coinbase for a bit of fun and just to see what happens. I know im late doing this really but hey ..seems more fun than buying lotto tickets lol Im slowly learning from YouTube vids / internet and will read all these posts from the beginning to hopefully get more useful information Some of you guys have done brilliantly on this !
  10. We have 3 Ctec chargers plugged into different vehicles.. there great trickle charges we have 2 mxs 10 as they got a bit more guts to them but also have a mxs5.0 too I think they struggle recovering AGM batters you need a decent 500-600amp
  11. someone did make an offer to me last weekend … 30k drive away that day errrr naaaa lol
  12. Few updated pics of the car, not much has changed as it’s not getting used but hopefully next year I’m doing some power upgrades It will also go into the bodyshop for a front bumper respray from the stone chips it got over the years crazy to think this was painted 11 years ago now
  13. Been with sky past 8 years but there struggling to keep up with the value of them ive moved to Adrian Flux now agreed value 40k and premium £380
  14. might be because I'm old lol im 42
  15. Ive gone with Adrian Flux this year 40K agreed value with only £380 premium
  16. I spotted that yesterday with Torque GT Sold fast for the highest price Supra I’ve seen in the UK so far.. I’m guessing it was real close to the £60k Mark
  17. I have been with sky since they were a sponsor on the club and always been the best for me but it always seemed a lot of others got a far worst deal with them They are struggling to keep up with the value of these cars now.. most I can get is 37k which is already under the current value of a TT6 So yea we need someone ideally to look at a club insurer again
  18. Well HJC had a bronze supra which kinda sold before they put it on the site which was 45k I think and that was about 6 months ago I remember someone on here buying one from Torque GT for 38k and that was a few years ago now Torque GT have one for 60k ! so there definitely selling at these high prices
  19. I have heard what you have mentioned before and that the cost of modifying you need to sell a liver and a kidney to do lol Na just I car I have loved the look of among other things.. interior is a let down though.. it also could be the want of something you never had and let down when you did get it lol
  20. No it’s fine mate Thing is your assuming I’d buy it as if I think it’s a better car.... not the case at all .. it’s a car I’ve always liked and had a real soft spot for and never got round to owning when I could Like a friend of mine wouldn’t go near a supra but he would by a lotus Carlton for 100k if he could lol Oh and believe me im All for the Supra going up in price
  21. It seems the ones that moan about the selling prices are either the ones that already own them or used too it is crazy how the Jap scene has gone.. R34 GTR’s especially people may think the Supra is the better car but the 34 still an iconic car (last of the skylines ) and with a few different very low number specs I can see why due to its still very large fan base .. I’m one of them if I was loaded I’d buy one for sure lol I think for most of us it’s just a little hard to digest from the speed of inflation these cars have had most of us never really had any vehicle increase in value like this to think I bought my TT6 for 14k and now there going past the 40k mark is insane of course it has its down sides with spare parts also on the increase but it’s a nice feeling I might even break even with the money I’ve spent on it lol
  22. Yea .. when the lifted it on the trailer they was worried it would hold in one piece lol
  23. I love bangers and cash especially when an OAP opens his garage to sell his beloved cosworth If it was closer I’d love to go have a look at all the cars for sale as the family who run it are brilliant I was shocked to see the value of this original (what’s left of it) Mini Cooper 18k it went for !!!!! CRAZY ! No doubt there hardly any left but there’s hardly anything left of that mini Even the new owner said he will have to reshell it.. not original anymore lol and we laugh about the value of Supra’s lol
  24. lol It was really hard as i could not communicate with them so wasn't sure when he was going or not .. plus the camera guy wanted us in different positions etc there a full video somewhere .. bike was quicker but Supra was quick !
