Great job there.

That manifold looks the nuts :)

Cheers Luc! It certainly does look lovely, shame it's going to go all discoloured from heat really!

This thread makes me want to rip my twins off and get a single kit on. Nice work dude.

Doooo it! Dooooo it!! :D

Whats wrong with me then?! :(

Nothing darling, it's your black sheep american twin who won't stop banging hookers & being a massive c....

Very nice, are you Lee long lost brother! I wish I had the knowledge to work on my own car!

Haha no! Why do you say that? I look nothing like Robin Van Persie! :D

Looking very nice mate.

Cheers Claymondo! I'll make it back down to BW once it's done. Hopefully for the F&F meet!

You won't see it a lot mate .... but you will feel its effect every time you touch the accelerator. :D

The manif in combination with the HKS 60mm external wastegate is a great combo. I have the PHR manif with the HKS 60mm external wastegate on my setup too.

Just realised that, A- none of the jubilee clips are straight... OCD going into overdrive and I can't touch the car till I'm home @ the weekend..Ahhhhhh! :D B- Some of those pictures are so crap.. in fairness it's dark and they are done with a phone!

Must admit it was making my OCD twitch looking at them :D Great bit of work that

The joys of building a car in a 1 day a week slot... Just end up trying to work quickly all the time! :D Thanks, need to get onto Ryan today, see when we can do this.

Just think they are going to be all at odd angles for a whole week :D Looking forward to seeing what this does as the precision Gen2 turbos are really impressive.

Best man for the job.

It's not a Gen2... I researched it a lot, I'll dig out the dyno graphs I found later, for the street I couldn't see it making all that much difference. I'll find out once I have my own dynograph!

It's done!

Took it for it's maiden test cruise today to check all was well, nothing appears to be awry.

Maybe mapping on Wednesday, but we'll see.

Some final progress pics:

Changed my front crank seal, and ran the tig along the crank sprocket:

Fixed my constantly leaking clutch slave(thread was knackered but the bore itself was perfect), by welding on a -3 fitting for the braided line:

Finally....! Apart from a few small bits..... It's done! I've driven it! It's loud! My word it sounds good, the manifold has a touch of the RPS manifold about it, real offbeat growl... love it!

Only took 3 different cars, 3 different turbo kits and 5 years of changing my mind to settle on this. Roll on mapping!

Got a few little bits to do still to tidy it up. (Weld water neck etc...)

Enjoy!

Think dads might be on Wednesday aswell :).

Glad you're happy with it!

Do you think you made the right decision in the end ditching the big twins?

I do dearly love Steve's car... Twins look awesome as well! They are a bit more effort work wise... Couldn't build it on my drive as the engine has to come out.

I sold them as I'd quit my job(couldn't stand it any more!), and I was worried about money. I was very lucky to bag another one straight away, so I went ahead and bought another kit.
