How does this engine drive compared to the other? The spec was listed as higher bhp, but obviously different internals and stuff, I'm unsure the differences, this one must spool quicker? Just thought I'd ask, as I was aiming for 600 and didn't want it to feel sluggish because I hadn't spec'ed the engine correctly. :)

Totally different car mate - my other was around 825hp and as it was an Auto it was literally foot down, hold on, scream and try not to crash!!

 

This car FEELS so much faster - it was built for a time attack track car by Sumo Power. The fact is a manual v auto will make a lot of difference but this Do-Luck is the scariest car i've been in, along with JP's :D

 

This has a very fast spooling old skool turbo which gives instant boost in every gear - you dont get traction until 4th gear and the fun factor is off the scale. This also has an Auto LSD which make it rev through the gears like its on sterioids!!

 

I'd never shoot for over 600-650hp again for a street car - only a drag specific one :)

Thanks dude, all about the spool and traction then! I'd love an LSD, I'll need a new diff by then anyway. Whats the spec on your turbo? Inducer wheel etc if you know it. I always see people over spec the turbo for future goals, my current T61 is well over beefed for my current power requirements a much smaller one would suit. Id like to get the turbo running its max for 600 and I think mine would do that at a struggle but wanted a higher quality one.

 

Is the auto diff on the manual box alot different on the gear ratios then?
