  1. A bad battery wouldn't cause the symptoms you described in your first post. The key thing is that your car initially failed to start, then without doing anything, it started fine on the 2nd attempt. If you have a bad battery you usually get a very slow crank, or just a fast clicking (I guess from the starter motor or associated relays).
  2. That's normal if the starter motor needs reburbing. See first post here: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?70712-Car-reluctant-to-start&highlight=starter+motor
  3. Will do. Thanks for sharing.
  4. Nice kit. Unlikely I guess, but if you want to split, I'd be interested in the Nikkor 18-105 lens and maybe the 70-300 too.
  5. By "mounts", I presume you mean where the gearbox mounts to the chassis? Thanks, I'll look into those.
  6. I have a manual NA with a W58 box. I recently had the box changed because the original one was very stiff to get into 1st and 2nd gear when cold. The new box is better, but I've noticed in 3rd gear, when I'm on and off the accelerator, it moves the gearstick back and forth a bit. Is this an indication of a problem, or is it normal?
  7. I've got a pair of Ed Sheeran tickets for sale at face value (£50 each) ONO. https://www.twickets.live/block/526545810846017,2 They have to be sold via See Ticket's approved reseller site (Twickets) - if you want to make me an offer, please do so and I can adjust the price on Twickets so you can snap them up.

Exactly. I much prefer it here. Facebook isn't set up to be a knowledge repository, it's a place for (usually rambling) conversations.

  11. Not in a dating sense, but by a tradesman. It happens quite a lot to me. I invite people to do work on my house - in this case a garden double gate. They visit, look at the job, and say yep I'll get a quote to you within a couple of days. Then nothing. I follow up with a phone call - left answer message. 3 days ago. Still nothing. Why don't these peope have the decency to say if they're not interested in the job? Just make up an excuse if the job is too big/ too small or I seem like a d ick. At least then I'd know I need to ask someone else. Does anyone know any good gate people - metal or wood, not sure which to go for yet. I'm not that much of a d ick really.
  12. Welcome! You've got a great looking car there.
  13. Hi, is this still available please?
  14. Interested in the exhaust. Is it OEM please?
  15. What is this please? https://jza80.mkivsupra.net/imports/2018/02/469.jpg If it's a door seal, I'm interested in buying.

  17. More allegations against Bercow, this time from the former Black Rod: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-43994326 This changes things somewhat. Leakey's words carry significant weight IMO. What would he gain from making the accusations if they're false? He could sell his story to the papers, but he doesn't seem like the kind of guy to do so.
  18. Breach of contract, I suppose. The creator of the contract would need to pursue the NDA signatory through the civil courts. The payment would need to be documented in the NDA - no under-the-counter payments. I think John Bercow is a good speaker. He seems to be adept at controlling the rabble.

  20. I didn't realise for theft, you only get book price. Seems unfair if you're paying extra for an agreed-value policy.
  21. Good find, and thanks for the follow-up.
