  1. I leave the battery fully connected to the car when I use my Lidl/Aldi and CTEK chargers. If you have to remove the battery, then it's not really a trickle charger. The one you link to will be fine, I'm sure.
  2. Is there a number plate pod / holder for a JSpec rear bumper that can hold a standard UK-size letterbox numberplate (instead of a square JSpec numberplate)? I'm guessing not, because the numberplate hole in the bumper is the square size. Seems not, but I'm asking just in case someone's achieved it. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?339901-Number-Plate-external-sizes-please Best option I've found so far: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?75098-Replacement-License-plate Just measured: The bumper hole is 165mm tall, and that will look odd with a yellow numberplate filling the area.
  3. That's only one MEP. He's saying things I don't agree with and which make me uncomfortable, but it's not enough reason for me to want to leave. Does anyone know how the debate ended, or what the other contributors said?

    Fortnite

Thanks, v-bucks sounds like what I need. Hopefully they're valid in single-palyer mode.

    Fortnite

Gamers - I want to get someone a present to do with Fortnite, maybe a voucher. I know he plays it on an xbox. Is an xbox live voucher only useful if he plays online, or is it useful for all forms of the game? I'm assuming that there is an offline version where you only play against AI opponents.
  6. Good morning, welcome to the club. Whereabouts in Hampshire are you? There's a good, well-attended monthly meet in Basingstoke: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?301525-EPIC-Basingstoke-Meet-Every-First-Weekend-Of-The-Month/page94
  7. Still for sale. Note this is just the cushion parts, not the seat frames or rails.
  8. Hi, I've got the cushions off the passenger seat. Just need to do the driver's seat then I'll get them measured and weighed. Sorry for the delay.
  9. Ok good. I'll get them packaged up, calculate postage and let you know how much it is. Might be a few days before I can do that, is this ok?
  10. It would be no more than £75 posted. If P&P is less than £25, I'd only charge you what it cost.
  11. I've got the upholstered parts of a pair of facelift front seats for sale. They're on the seat frames for the photos, but I'll remove them. Good used condition. Clean. Smoke-free pet-free home. No cigarette burns, no holes or rips in the cloth. £50 collected from Hampshire. I can post them, but postage would be extra.
  12. Nice one - I've just PM'd him
  13. I'm interested - do you know any details, e.g. mileage, price, year, car it's come from?
  14. Yes, UK and NA have 2 O2 sensors. JSpec TT has one.
  15. Passed the MOT. Thanks for the advice!
  16. I changed the front brake discs a few days ago, and the MOT is nearly due. As expected, the brake performance is a bit weedy at the moment until the discs settle down with the pads. Is this likely to cause an MOT failure? I've heard that discs can take up to 500 miles to bed in - that's not really an option for me.
  17. Yes, good to see folk come back with what caused the problem. Good work!
  18. I've managed to cross-thread the driver's seat seatbelt clip retainer bolt. It looks like this bolt is an integral part of the seat chassis. Anyone else had anything similar? Any ideas on how to fix it? I think the thread is too near to the chassis to be able to get a thread die on it. I haven't tried a thread file but I don't have one, and I'm doubtful that it'll work. The bolt is in the middle of the attached photo. This is the driver's seat laid on its side, with the side nearest the transmission tunnel visible.
  19. I'm looking for a W58 box in VGC
  20. Yes - only the centre caps are different, and are interchangeable.
  21. I'd be concerned that it wouldn't output enough heat. He chose a 1500W heater. A fag-packet calculation gave a coolant-heated matrix as 4500W: https://www.diyelectriccar.com/forums/showthread.php/evdl-much-heat-does-car-heater-23223.html
  22. I agree. On a clear-ish motorway I don't know why people do it. Someone suggested on here once that they reckon the middle lane is the safest place to be, but I don't get that at all. I reckon it's the inside lane - as far away from oncoming traffic as possible, and a hard shoulder to bail onto if something goes pear-shaped.
  23. He should have said he stood up to have a stretch, and his hands came together accidentally. Oh what are Labour doing? The Tories are too busy having a civil war about Brexit to do much else. This could have been Labour's chance to shine, but instead they've got their own big internal problems, and can't decide what their own version of Brexit would look like. It seems that UK politics is like a boxing match where both boxers are on the ropes. Labour have agreed at their conference to not leave any option off the table regarding Brexit (seat on the fence, anyone?). But if they've got something to say or propose, they'd best hurry up. It's happening in March next year.
