  1. I'm looking forward to my 80 mile trip to work and back tomorrow, the cold air makes so much difference to the turbos, bring it on!
  2. Anyone have one? We want to get one installed in our house but there is zero useful info and no independent reviews out there, just loads of companies all saying their product is the best. Salt or magnet? Or chelation? All advice welcome
  3. Surely someone must be?!
  4. It looks like they have put up all the cars in their museum for sale. Some lovely examples here: Saab Museum
  5. Yes a 1.6 petrol/LPG but it happens whether running on either fuel. Engine still runs, but no response from the throttle unless the revs go less than 3000. Thanks for all input so far guys.
  6. OK the garage don't know what's up, maybe someone here does. Problem is as follows: when the car is thoroughly warmed up, like 30 mins on the motorway, the engine cuts out when it gets to over 3250rpm. I press the accelerator, nothing happens. When the revs dip below 3000rpm, I press the accellerator, and the engine gets going again. But as soon as 3250rpm is reached, it cuts out. This is the same regardless of what gear I am in. It can be quite hairy on the motorway when I need to speed up to overtake cos the 3250rpm limit means the engine can cut out at 70mph in the outside lane! Any ideas folks?
  7. Following on from this thread, I was wondering if anyone used these to monitor their tyre pressures. If not I might give em a go, unless someone says they're a load of rubbish? It's either that or get the gauge out and do it manually.
  8. The car has been great as of late, as always, a couple of new rear Michelin Pilot Sports last week, all good. But just recently I thought something was up, the car feeling a bit wobbly, and on hard braking or when the 2nd turbo came on, it would veer to the left suddenly. Not ideal when at speed. I was going ask on the forum what it could be, but this morning I went to check the front tyre pressures seeing as I hadn't done it in a while. Front passenger was only 25psi, so perhaps that was it? No need to check the rears, as they had only been replace last week, but I thought I would anyway. So imagine my surprise when the rear passenger side was only 12psi:blink:! I guess the front and rear tyres being soft explains why the car would veer to the left. So the warning is to check your tyre pressures, even when new tyres have just been fitted!!!
  9. I ditched the Adobe one for Windows Movies Maker, it's so much easier to use and doesn't keep crashing the pc!
  10. I know I'm late but I can help you if need be
  11. My kids have had it, now my missus has it.... I'm next Jazz, without a proper diagnosis you cures don't mean anything. Besides, it takes 6-8 hours or so to get better anyway, miracle cure or no miracle cure.
  12. Lucky you, incredibly good price if you ask me.

    LPG conversions

I did say you can 'technically' , but you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who will do the conversion for you, as there is so much extra involved compared to a straightforward petrol engine conversion.

    LPG conversions

If the price rises so it doesn't make sense to buy it, then the price will decrease until it does. That's how prices work within a free market. At the moment LPG is about half the price of petrol and has been for ages. If LPG prices increase, you can bet that petrol prices increase too.

    LPG conversions

Correct you can't convert a diesel to LPG (well technically you can, but not without great expense and hassle so it's simply not worth it). As for converting a normal petrol car or 4x4, especially a thirsty one, it's a no brainer
  16. Does he? I thought he lived in Chipping Norton here, to be precise
  17. Maybe not as much as you thought! Have a crack at this
  18. There must be an uncensored version of that clip somewhere! Stand out moments for me have to include going BPU, the difference in performance (and noise) was phenomenal. Otherwise driving through the French alps, racing a porsche turbo (and getting beat!), getting onto the track for the first time. In fact if it weren't for all the other people on the road, every moment in the car has been a real pleasure.
  19. If it's within the UK and it's marked as a "gift or payment owed" and not a purchase, paypal payments are free for both parties concerned. Anyone with an email can have a paypal account, so there's no reason why not to.

  21. Sorry to hear of your problems. My 12 year old nephew has severe autism and needs permanent 24/7 care, probably for the rest of his life. My sister has had to fight tooth and nail to get this care which to any normal person would seem an open & shut case; but to council/healthcare workers oh dear it's not as simple as that is it! It's taken literally years to get the assessment and help he needs. So my advice to you is to stick with it, and your perseverence will reap rewards. It's a bastad, but don't give up, you will get the support you need, but i am sorry to say nothing is given out on a plate and it will stretch your patience and take up a lot of your time. Best of luck with everything and do not give up, do the sit-in and do anything else - whatever it takes.
