1. I jolly well love swearing me and I wish I could here but this board is way too "grown up" and policed by squares. I have to say 'Goodness me' or 'Good Lord' for flip's sake. Swearing can be funny, imaginative and sometimes it's the best and only way to describe something properly. It's not always derogatory and insulting. It's not the swear words that are bad, it's the way that they are used. I'm all for clamping down on flaming and insults, but banning swear words isn't the answer.
2. How has this discussion got out of hand? I think it's quite illuminating. I have great respect for the police who do what seems to be a very difficult job while jumping through hoops to do it, and IF I get caught speeding by them then so be it, it's a fair cop. We're lucky to hear the 'off the record' opinions of a police officer on here.
3. I use Whifbitz too and I am based in Watlington near Oxford, they're not too far away it's just an hour down the motorway
4. 600 is plenty, more than enough for a lot of fun. If and when you get bored, THEN try for 1000.
5. Honour amongst thieves? You have £££ cash available in UK sterling to buy this car? Prove it.
6. Cry wolf? History of scammers, chancers and pi55 takers.
7. My price has just gone up to £25,000. Abdallah you'd best get a move on. I am accepting offers.

12. Not me but good road for getting some decent speed
13. It's highly unlikely to happen in the daytime. If there is daylight issues regarding deer or moose are not worth considering. It's plod you have to watch out for.
14. Yes and all the bikes are upstairs virtually unprotected
15. Like many boys his age my 4 year old is into his trains, and showing him a book with a diesel-electric in it I pointed to the diagram of 'how it works'. "What's that?" he asked, pointing to something in the engine. "That's the torque converter" I said, reading from the notes, "Do you know what it does?" "Yes" he says confidently, "It's a thing that helps the driver communicate with his passengers!"
16. Daughters bed ordered in January, expected now in May Seems to be a widespread problem with furniture retailers...!
17. Expensive or wide vehicle? Should there be some kind of supermarket parking warden who decides if your car is expensive or wide enough to use the space? Besides, with Supra prices as they are it's highly unlikely any would qualify! And you've never had kids have you? Ever tried to get a 2 year old out of a car who would rather be strapped in their seat? Or tried to get a kid into the car who would rather sit in the trolley? It's like trying to get an octopus into a string bag. Maybe next time just get the bus
18. Funny looks? Don't you mean 'angry' looks? You're probably more likely to have your car keyed for doing that than if you had taken up just one space for the sheer arrogance that you think your car is more important than anybody else's.
19. As per my other thread I'm thinking of LPGing the Supra. The numbers make sense: 10000 miles a year @ 25mpg and it would take only 16 months to pay back the cost of the conversion. After that it's LPG at 75p a litre instead of petrol at £1.50 a litre. Performance figures remain the same. As long as LPG is half the price of petrol, and petrol prices keep rising, it's a no brainer. There are loads of fuel-thirsty 4x4s that use LPG, and my Astra has been on it for years with no problems. The guy near us who does conversions is swamped with orders.
20. Just bought a 2.0 turbo for commuting. Quite nippy esp lower down the rev range, a wolf in sheep's clothing [COOL][/COOL] Just had it converted to lpg. The guy at the garage made quite a convincing argument to convert the supra, which I am considering.
21. This was Friday am, I think you were using spare wheel at the rear?
