    Maine Coon Cats

She sounds weird, no wonder she's an ex.
  2. If only there was some kind of really comprehensive guide and discussion about this... Oh yeah... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?41927-FAQ-Spark-plugs
  3. To be fair that's an order allocation fuck up. Bit harsh to say the whole of Toyotas customer service has taken a nose dive? Not defending it as I'd be furious beyond reconciliation. My thoughts this morning ran more along the lines of "actually, BMW make some really great cars...this is a way of owning one without the embarrassment and stigma attached to owning a BMW." As for the Supra name? 6 cylinder, RWD, great to drive, throw in some race pedigree and tuner parts to come...I have a feeling they may do fine with this. They were never going to please us existing owners - we're but a piddling pot compared to the big wide market that worries not about how the MkIV compares.
  4. I wonder how many are still interested in doing the trip to Vegas in September without the "Supras in Vegas"? I'm not so fussed about that, was more interested in the camaraderie of us all going together so I'm open to still going in September. I think Wile could be up for that too?
  5. Not sure when you last travelled transatlantic or long haul - but that's an old stereotype now.
  6. 28th Sep MAN -> SFO £659.98 for two inc baggage Thomas Cook 13th Oct 2019 LAS Vegas -> MAN £639.98 Thomas Cook Total £1300 (for two) Fri 27th Sep MAN -> LAX Sun 13th Oct LAX -> MAN Virgin Atlantic with baggage (Economy Classic) £1200 (for two) Sat 28th Sep LHR -> LAX Sat 12th Oct LAX -> LHR BA with Ford Escape £1,049 (for two and 23kg baggage) Sat 28th Sep LHR -> San Francisco Sat 12th Oct LAX -> LHR BA with Chrysler Pacifica car £1756.08 (based on 4 people)
  7. Supras in Vegas is confirmed as October 10th to 12th 2019
  8. I love how everybody has an opinion without a) having seen it in the flesh or b) driven it. (me included, I don't count the A90 as seeing it in the flesh)
  9. Just looking around, at the moment fares are like this: Virgin various days either side of 19/20th Sep Man -> Vegas return 614 with luggage (£100) MAN -> LAX Return 550 with luggage 4.5hr drive from LAX to Vegas, saves £64 per person. Thomas Cook MAN -> LAX £429.50 with luggage Option to pay £20 per flight to cancel or change up to 24hrs before the flight. £100 to reserve all the seats all flights. AA out BA return LHR-> LAX £457 return with baggage 12th Sep to 28th Sep or two people INCLUDING car rental (some biggish Ford MPV) for £1109?! Seems like cheap car rental for two weeks.
  10. Awaiting confirmation from the event organisers of the date next year.
  11. Any updates on this? I'm telling everyone I'm going to Vegas next year but need to think about booking it now.
  12. The biggest mistake was buying it. I'm expecting renewed interest in Crypto depending on what happens with this Brexit fuck up. Getting my money out of UK stocks/currency/bonds feels like a good idea right now.
  13. I'd imagine the bit about dumping dirty air into the country. I think maybe there wasn't a realisation that what you meant was it is a bad idea to build more dirty power stations to make cities cleaner.
  14. I see they've solved the lame quiet sound from Goodwood then. The exhaust looks more finished than the pipes that one had.
  15. Interesting, thanks Ellis. I guess so long as you know the owner or have evidence of pampering like this one for sale here that helps massively. Unfortunately I've known plenty of people with lots of money that lease M3's and rag the hell out of them - they don't care as they have a warranty and are handing it back after three years anyway. But you can say that about any vehicle so as always - check the previous owner and history logs.
  16. Elon has always been a little eccentric - a fine line between genius and madness and all that.
  17. Or suddenly give them the impetus to get rid quick. I agree, lovely cars, but the engines sound like a bloody time bomb to me as they get older and BMW service prices scare me. Vicki's i30 is getting a full main dealer 60k service for the same price as brake and oil change on this. As I understand it an oil sample is only as good as when it was taken, do we have any indication of the time between between finding metal in the oil and failure?
  18. Yes. We were going even if you lot decided not to. Will want to do California and San Francisco bolted onto this at either end.
  19. We have an FAQ for this: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?56684-FAQ-Oil-Fluid-Interval-Capacity-Steering-Brake-Coolant-Diff-Engine Merged threads as we didn't need two for the same discussion.
  20. It must be so difficult to work on a project for such a long time, poor your heart and soul into it and then a bunch of people rip into it before they've even seen it properly or understand the specs. The more I squint through its disguise and think about how he is focusing on the drivability of this car, the more I'm really starting to warm to it.
  21. No two ways about it, there are some seriously quick 'hot' hatches out there now.
  22. A lot of car for the money, but £555.00 a year road tax? They need to start thinking of a way to reduce this as cars reduce in value otherwise they'll needlessly be sent to crushers as nobody wants to run them.
  23. Why is everyone so obsessed with speed and power? Tada San appears to want to make a car that drives really well at a pace. I couldn't care less if there's something 'faster' in the next lane, I just want it to be a great car.
  24. I asked Tada San if there could be a wide body version like TRD did with the MkIV. The reply was "TRD and Toms are making parts for this"....read into that what you will. I told him I want that wide body!
  25. Great party! Hotel staff service and food was spot on for me. Very tasty sandwiches and a decent roast piggy. The Scalextric (German copy) was an excellent setup, very cool lane switching racing. Shame I was so shit at it. I thought being the only sober one there I'd be better at it! Thanks to ALL that made it possible.
