  1. Nope. Just sounded painful. I wouldn't want to tread on mine (constant hazard though)
  2. If they'd announced it one day earlier that would've made a nice birthday present for me.
  3. That's not a fix, that's a workaround. Anything that requires me to install a plugin or use a specific browser is just awful. I presume it's to circumvent some kind of hot linking so that PhotoBucket can still make their ad revenue without spending all their money on bandwidth? I won't install Flash either, it's mostly only used for user tracking anyway nowadays.
  4. Nothing is if you learn about it, even rocket science! It's mostly just maths at the end of the day.
  5. From what I've seen it's too open to manipulation and key players having way too much influence on the market. Combined with cooked up stories from governments, financial institutions and major corporations that have their own agenda then I don't see it settling down. It is what it is, high risk with potential for big wins or big losses. Enjoy it whilst it lasts.
  6. I'd love to comment, but you've put your images on PhotoFuckit which has done the usual thing and now I can't see any of them.
  7. In the rules we ask for people to list a price on items to avoid auction style posts followed by petty childish arguments over who offered what etc. Put on a price and I'm sure people will make an offer anyway, up to you if you accept it or not.
  8. Have they said Thursday still can't be accessed for setup only? I'd expect large trade stands etc would require this like any normal show. Meh. I'm sure there are plenty of other car events we could look at on the calendar. Santa Pod doesn't interest me. PITA to get in and out of big events.
  9. I’ve thought the opposite, his posts I have seen are helping increase prices. Take the recent sugggestion of sharing agreed values for example, or the many price examples indicating increases in Japan. Maybe I have missed something?
  10. Of course, those that choose not to move to an annual subscription will have a hit taken out on them by The Supra Family.
  11. I'm doing an experiment to learn how it works, study it and learn the mechanisms. It's not an investment and I stand by my initial feelings on crypto. I've not seen anything yet that makes me want to put my money into it without making it a full time job to monitor the market. I already have a full time job.
  12. Not sure. I'd have to check the T's and C's it was sold under. I guess we could go with a volunteered subscription, those that want to see the club continue to succeed financially as new memberships fall...and those that don't? Any other ideas from people?
  13. Wow - I could put a few phrases back your way you might have heard before as well. At the end of the day I don't care personally, I'm not playing the game and it doesn't affect me. I do care about the club members though.
  14. 25th Jan 7 days later. Everyone on here is a big boy and knows their own risks...but I do wonder if maybe after pushing the virtues of crypto so bullishly to everyone you ought to have considered giving them a heads up when you thought it was going tits up? Have I read that right?
  15. Lets not forget that a healthy subscription base of members helps to contribute to the club funds for various events, wether they take advantage of it or not. Especially if we can persuade JB to re-enstate the annual charge and cancel lifetime memberships for all.
  16. I wouldn't say that! No where near as active as I should be, but at the moment I do feel like I want to be involved. Anyway - for what it's worth I actually felt that the criticism was fair and should be taken on board. The forum DOES need lots of improvement and the talk of "it's coming" has gone on for too long, take it on the chin and deal with it constructively. Thanks to people that have offered constructive ideas in this thread. Everyone comes at Supra ownership with their own take on things, if it's for big power, styling mods or classic ownership that's up to them. For anyone that doesn't know - Green mods = events. Restricted to editing posts in that section. Yellow/Orange mods = tidy uppers, used to be designated a section to manage, banned from acting in certain forum areas and have no control over any forum settings, functions. Red Mods = Power users, forum configs, user management, board settings As a professional IT person, server admin and owner of a web development business I've volunteered many times to help out where I can tech wise (I too am limited with time like everyone else), frustratingly I'm not getting a response back on this. I can fully understand how people feel there is a clique mentality - but that's what happens if they don't attend the social events. This is where friendships are bred and friends will stick up for each other, that's how it goes. However, ganging up and name calling shouldn't be acceptable IMHO and only re-enforces this perception, especially amongst those who are lurkers.
  17. Welcome! Well, your first choice is NA or TT. You won't get much above 220 by mild tuning an NA through decay/exhaust unless you go for an NA-T turbo conversion. These can work well and there are plenty of examples on the forum, but are sometimes trickier to sell on. I started off with an NA 15 years ago after having a FWD euro hatch. It got me used to RWD and looked great. Your TT will be 320bhp onwards. If you're thinking long term that you'd like a TT then buy now as they're only increasing in price. You could always engineer a boost leak to keep the power down
  18. I’m stuck on an iPad in Berlin at the moment so a little difficult to review. It has been recognised that we have a few mods which are not as active as they could be (myself included) and that also is under review and awaiting decisions from the reds. That is a concern. Let’s get that sorted. I don’t know, but they may be in negotiations during which we may not necessarily disable them immediately? JB could’ve made many profit making decisions, I understand he opted not to turn it into a cash cow as it is a club run volunteer members, for the members and not a commerce venture. A lot of the tech docs I uploaded may have hazy copyright, so I certainly wouldn’t charge for them. Some good points made thank you. Members ideas are always welcome and I look forward to your cake making tips!
