  1. Err...you've seen the forum logo right?
  2. Maybe they've got better. We tried one 5 years ago just for a general web dev Windows environment. It was horribly slow to refresh, drag windows etc at 1080P.
  3. Maybe remind them that the club was represented on the stand next to theirs at the Birmingham classic car show end of last year. Next time I may just have to visit the stand to tell everyone they're not a proper insurance company. Maybe call it "MkIV Supra Owners Club" rather than the domain name.
  4. It would be worth while getting another graphics card to run a screen for better performance. USB VGA is dreadful.
  5. Ooohh - so THAT's what those are. I thought it was so it could be parked up at temporary roadworks as a traffic light / advertising board.
  6. Thanks, I'll check it out. I have that Korg app on the iPad. It's amazing how much cheaper you can get same/very similar tools on mobile devices.
  7. I just bought a Roland TB-3 and lost an awful lot of time and late nights fiddling with it! I used to be big into music production on my Amiga as a kid. I'd buy computer music for the CDs and collect instrument samples and make my own mods - I recently rediscovered them and was surprised just how many disks full I'd done! After that had a PC with an AWE32, Yamaha DB50XG MIDI daughterboard and 8mb of sample ram which at the time was the same as the system ram! That was fun linked to a midi controller with Cakewalk. Spent a small amount of time with Logic and Ableton Live, bought a nice 48key controller, attended an evening course at what was MIDI school - https://www.schoolofelectronicmusic.com Since then I've dabbled with Korg tools on the iPad and various other drum machines/synths. I use Sennheiser HD600's connected to a USB headphone 48/96 valve amp to keep the noise down. I spent a bit of time with Graham Massey the last couple of years and he's inspired me to start dabbling again, hence the TB-3 and literally this week collecting a few soft synths and setting up my midi controller again. I'd like some other Aira kit, the TR-8 and mixing desk would go nicely. Just need to see how much time I'll get to play....not enough!!
  8. Cheapy cheap. I think Branners was after one of these too?
  9. Back in 2016 these were £350 : http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?331082-Genuine-Oem-Side-Skirts-and-Spats&highlight=skirts There are lots of Wanted adverts in-between then and now however. Looks like I valued too low.
  10. I'd have thought around £300-400 for good ones. Ones that need TLC £250 - £300 depending on condition? Rare items, don't see them up for sale very often now. Maybe search through the classifieds and see what they were last advertised for.
  11. No idea. I just know there's a HUGE engine factory just up the road that makes plenty of their own.
  12. A friend works inside JLR, they've spent millions on creating truly efficient modern diesels that are not cheating. Can't see them wanting to write off that investment too quickly, although the way eco laws throughout the world are heading along with public opinion they might not have a choice.
  13. He said the road going Supra is very coming soon, or words to that effect.
  14. Orrrr....they're really wanting the worlds attention to promote the Gazoo Racing brand so by releasing this track car first they'll get more media attention on that in addition to the headline new Supra.
  15. That's what I couldn't fathom. So much of the show ground unused.
  16. What are all the C's? The club stands? How come there are so many unlabelled empty blocks?
  17. Stick your email address in here https://haveibeenpwned.com and see just how many other sites may have leaked your details. Always have a separate password for all your sites. Yes it's a PITA - but so is getting hacked.
  18. This looks like a great deal to get you more organised and keep those precious tools safe. The big base with wheels and the add on top chest for just £150 http://www.halfords.com/workshop-tools/storage/tool-chests-cabinets/halfords-7-drawer-mobile-tool-chest-and-halfords-6-drawer-tool-chest-bundle I've had the top section for 10 years now - it's been great, no signs of rust etc.
  19. I presume they get £££'s from advertising? Been a while since I looked over the pond. IIRC there's been various issues with regards to heavy weight advertisers over there historically? One thing I love is that mkivsupra.net club has remained fiercely independent without selling out down a commercial route.
  20. Why wouldn't you get an SSD? The speed increases are amazing, you can even get a Samsung 500Gb for around £120 and use far far less power. It'll be like a new laptop. If you need more space, external drive should be able to cater for your porn movie stash.
