  1. https://discourse.org for the win now.
  2. With or without tiptronic buttons is the key. I have my old VVTi tip three spoke in the garage doing nothing with airbag, it's a little worn though which is why I swapped it out for a fresher one.
  3. One that caught me out recently was a couple of guys giving the thumbs up at a junction and smiling, pointing at the car. I was in the MX5...I was thinking "what are they trying to say?" I managed a weak smile back. It wasn't until I realised further down the road they were trying to say the car was nice....I was confused because I wasn't in the Supra.
  4. There's an interesting psychological experiment to be had there.
  5. I can only imagine that went down with the boyfriend as "That creepy old man said what?!"
  6. https://uk.motor1.com/news/363287/toyota-supra-ecu-tune-420-hp/ We already know the MkV is putting out more power than the sales brochure says and with some dynos saying 376bhp it's no surprise that a remap could improve over that. I usually take dyno figures with a huge pinch of salt anyway with the adding back of a random ego inflating number to account for "transmission losses".
  7. Only a couple of weekends away - I'm really looking forward to catching up with the crew!
  8. Bargain, great gauges. They have serial out too so can be connected up to a laptop or other devices that read it
  9. It's all about the charging points. Our government has put naff all into the infrastructure - but then I suspect they're petrified about loosing so much fuel tax. Hence why they've started putting 20% VAT on renewable energy installs and left fossil fuel installs at 5%. Ridiculous backwards thinking money grabbing a$$holes.
  10. Interesting tech, what do we think? https://www.cnet.com/roadshow/news/hyundai-continuously-variable-valve-duration-engine-tech/
  11. Awesome job getting this attending, well done! Look forward to seeing it without its disguise this time.
  12. Indeed you need one that is setup for your rolling radius. The speed sensor (in the gearbox I think in our case) sends pulses which are turned into speed depending on the frequency. Obviously may vary depending on the vehicle/speed sensor. I use a SpeedM8 which was setup by the maker for a MkIV on standard wheels and reads pretty much bob on with the GPS. It over reads when using the Lexus 18's. I believe some limiters had some adjustment where you could go out with a GPS and fine tune?
  13. I concur. Interested to hear what you really think.
  14. Yep. Short of replacing the ECU to sort it. I just don't go that fast. Darren / Wile has more experience daring to enter this zone than me, I think he said he's not had it kick down on him by not slamming his foot to the floor.
  15. No. Having owned both I can say I much preferred the low down extra power the VVTi gives over the non-VVTi.
  16. Wow - you've been a busy boy! Looking good. Hope the MOT goes well.

Indeed. A friend of mine's brother has a man that comes to visit from time to time. They have a chat, cuppa and a biscuit. He goes away and tells somebody his TV or other devices aren't tuned into the BBC. Weird.

Meh...some people take this far too seriously. It was fine casual Sunday night viewing over dinner.
  19. Forum > FAQs and Guides > lots of sections.
  20. Generous. I wonder how much is actually covered for the whole 5 years though....
  21. Both Caterham and Westfield use EC SSTA (European Small Scale Type Approval) The production limit for both cars and light vans / light trucks is 1000 per type each year in the whole of the EU.
  22. Who with? I'll have to avoid them.
