Toyota HQ wont be happy to hear these kind of things. Ive had a few damaged parts come through at my local T. Bent bumper and damaged tabs on mouldings. Refused to take them and they replaced them. Toyota have to do damage reports on faulty parts. This may be why SM is trying to flog them off? Never accept faulty new parts. Never its not Toyotas policy to sell them.

Do both shocks to keep the car level at the back. Springs can be kept. Ask your mechanic to check their conditon. Also check your bump stops and insulators as they may need replacing. You can go fot the oem replacement...KYB (kayaba) or optional extra replacement...Bilsteins

What type or RTV silicone should be used for the corners where the gaskets dont seal to well? Loctite have a black rtv silicone but then suggests they have a grey for Japanese engines but the temp ranges are the same and application recommendations are the same. Cheers Kev
