  1. They can get worn on the hubs where the bearings push in, i have read a few have suffered from it so it is a known possibility. Not a chance im going take mixing new and used parts

    Group i made

Made a group with all my personal Supra information i have collected over the years that i want to share with everyone. Should make life easier and save you all some money, Mostly 2JZ-GE parts, but theres alot of other stuff all Supras will use. At least theres somewhere on the forum i can save it all to. See my sig. Kev
  4. I doubt itll cost near 2k. Join the A340E group by DavidP theres tonnes of info. As i recall you can beef the autobox to take stress. A second hand autobox shouldnt cost ya more than 2-300
  5. Theres only one person who could really know. DavidP. Im pro Auto. Never understood the point of manuals when you can just put it in D and go
  6. When i come to need them ill go for facelift. Only reason why i can see the prefacelifts are going out becuase they were only from 1993 to 1996.5, 3.5 years. Facelift from 1996.5 to 2002..7.5 years. Facelift parts will be around for many years as far as i can see.
  7. Yea i have planned to buy new knuckles...bearings...hubs and big dust shields and hardware to do it...just planning ahead as usual
  8. And a barn find really is finding something super rare that literally has lived most its life in...yes...a barn
  9. Just doing some research on all of this, would be nice to get some info on it all between the Pre-facelift and Facelift arms. Front upper control arm - 2 variations, Pre facelift & Facelift Front lower control arm - 2 variations, Pre facelift & Facelift Rear arm NO.2 - 2 variations, Pre facelift & Facelift Rear upper control arm - Pre facelift & Facelift are the same Rear arm NO.1 - Pre facelift & Facelift are the same Front upper control arm LH - Toyota 48630-19025 - DISCONTINUED/ Toyota Facelift 48630-29046/ Optimal G6-852 Front upper control arm RH - Toyota 48610-19025 - DISCONTINUED/ Toyota Facelift 48610-29046/ Optimal G6-823 Front lower control arm LH - Toyota 48069-14080/ Toyota Facelift 48069-14090 Front lower control arm RH - Toyota 48068-14080/ Toyota Facelift 48068-14090 Rear upper control arm LH - Toyota 48790-19025 - SAME AS FACLIFT Rear upper control arm RH - Toyota 49770-19025 - SAME AS FACELIFT Rear arm NO.1 LH - Toyota 48710-14110 - SAME AS FACELIFT Rear arm NO.1 RH - Toyota 48710-14110 - SAME AS FACELIFT Rear arm NO.2 LH - Toyota 48740-14060/ Toyota Facelift 48740-14070 Rear arm NO.2 RH - Toyota 48730-14030/ Toyota Facelift 48730-14040 Now as some of the Prefacelift parts get discontinued we will have no choice but to use Facelift parts. The Facelift arms have smaller bushes, but does this mean we will have to buy new nuts and bolts? Or can we use the Pre facelift nuts and bolts on Facelift arms with smaller bushes with no problems? And do the Facelift arms bolt up without modifications to a Pre facelift subframe? Kev
  10. Are there any guides out there showing how to pull the rear hubs and strip it all down to the knuckles? id like to see how this is done, cheers, Kev
  11. Sorry mate these went a while ago
  12. Knocks when you go into reverse? Check the exhaust to gearbox bracket. Very common and cheap fix.
  13. Anyone close to Northampton breaking a 2JZ-GE? Im looking for parts off a engine thats been removed for a TT conversion, preferably lowest miles possible to ensure the parts are in good working order. Im after the following for mine Rocker/ Cam covers - No cracks/ damage Throttle body - Must not be worn/ idles fine Y pipe Upper intake plenum Lower intake plenum Engine hook Cheers
  14. Around 20 from Toyota. 58904-14010
  15. Wow ive never seen that before
  16. Im waiting for 'blue print copies' to come up as ill go for them, Optimal already produce the front upper ones. As they get discontinued the original manufacturers will be able to re brand and produce them.
  17. Supras are pretty much in the clear zone, give it another 20 years and we probably wont need MOTs D: Newer cars (fortunatley ) are more documented and will take the heat
  18. I spoke to them already. There is no data. And if toyota UK were to have any it would be for a UK spec twin turbo with steel turbos. As posted the US had figures. They want documentation of everything if you leave them to it. If they can accept toyota values from 93 why cant they accept data from a reputable company in 2017. You need to start questioning and finding out every detail.
  19. Nice to meet some old faces and new ones, had a wicked day
