Yeah that manifold is beautiful, a lot of work has gone into it as you can see, I am very happy to have parts like this on the car Yeah it will be interesting to see how our graphs compare mate. Looking forward to seeing you in that rolling race event this year with the radials and the turbo, I think you will break the 300kph barrier for sure.

Thanks lads, it's basically the best I could afford. I have a few more pics, I will just upload as we go along. We're not in any rush to finish it, it wants to be done right. I'm already looking forward to driving it, I can't imagine what an extra 200bhp will feel like, so i'm hoping the extra investment in the diff and suspension will keep him straight

6Speed Aerotop Single Turbo Project Aurora (PICS!)
Hemanhead replied to Hitbox Junkie's topic in mkiv Supra Projects
Saw this on Thursday, well done for persevering with it. You will definitely love it more this summer -
Nice work, you will love it in the summer on some semi slicks, grip everywhere. The builds always spiral out of control costing wayyy more than we planned huh

Yup, engine parts arriving. Again just keeping to parts that have proven themselves in the performance world, full Ferrea valvetrain, BC 625+ rods, 86.5mm Mahle pistons taking the block out to 3033cc. I want the engine to rev pretty high so it will be dual sprung and take it upto 8500rpm. Having looked at many of the 6870 dyno graphs they seem to blow out by 7500 rpm but I dont think anyone has tried one with a VVTi head yet. It will be very interesting to see what the engine can do at the top and the bottom of the powerband. This engine will be different in the sense it will have a bracing kit and OEM maincaps instead of a billet item. This reduces risky machining work of the block. SRD Turbo kit, new version, billet collector for the runners and for the wastegates. Stunning piece of work here and I can't wait to hear it in action. Ohh 2.5" atmospheric screamer pipe too, hiliarious! I already had an HKS manifold so this is again a piece that I may not have needed, but with the turbo being changed, other parts would need changing so it didn't take much to convince me I wanted one. I think it's probably the best 2JZ manifold in production right now, i'll let the pictures do the talking, wow.

Heres the parts arriving that will help make take the car to its power goal. ETS 5" intercooler, actually from Kaan's car. A nice piece and already proven to perform. Precision Gen II 6870 turbo which I bought from Jay on here unused. If you haven't seen his build, check it out because it's the best on the forum right now and i'm looking forward to seeing it run at the pod with a 6 second pass the target; very cool. This is obviously no good for his target now but perfect for mine and he did me a good price on it, thanks bud This part wasn't really needed but vanity got the better of me. Having seen a few of them in person the quality of the product is undenyable and aren't we all a sucker for a piece of beautiful billet? Not sure if anyone else has this particualr version of the RPS tripple carbon yet. Reportably quiet with quite a soft operation that can pull away on the bite without having rev the hell out of the car to move. Well I will know in time anyway, atleast one thing is certain, it will take the power and clutch dumps that i throw at it.

Thanks guys, it was actually Jellybean who I stole the seat idea from. This is totally okay because he is in another country

With the VVTi spare block with Lee we began discussing a specification, desired power vs response, parts choice, piping sizes etc all at great length and over many weeks to come up with my ideal car. I am going to list everything that is being done in great detail so you know what it takes to build up one of these cars to the standard I want, it is an extensive list for now but don't worry theres plenty of pretty pictures to back everything up. Keeping the list fairly basic with more detail later about other parts that get replaced at given stages which you don't normally hear about with these builds, and little explanations as we go to help explain the choice behind this parts compilation. Just for you buddy Yes it does! So i was having a chat with Burna at the Wroxall meet discussing how strange my forum name is and how he laughed about it when organising dragonball a couple of years back. To amuse this man further I took to talking about Hemanhead from the third person inventing an entire cast and fictional adventure while riding a trusty companion called Battlecat.... Thats what happens kids when you are invested in 10 Stella Artois and high on the rapture of victory *cough, scalextric champ, cough* .....Anyway; the front lights were a bit foggy and I didn't have the time to take them apart for a proper clean up so these were sold and new ones bought, there's a clear difference. Next up was the Ridox carbon boot spoiler, again, its just not my thing so I have removed this and have had the carbon tailgate repainted. I think it looks alot better. Whilst this happened the Lexan glass has been removed and i bought a donor tailgate for its glass. The end product leaves the car looking alot more OEM and a bit heavier but classy. More updates coming when I have time to upload, Watch this space.

Who's supra is this? I'm sure I've seen it on here
Hemanhead replied to skippyboyo1's topic in Supra Chat
Its Axle's Supra. -
Thankyou pal. Well we've cut a 'sunroof' in the hardtop now which should accomodate all future head growth, always one step ahead of the game Cheers, I will start adding some updates now but it will take some time. Gives anyone interested something to read though!
-
Very nice, it sounds much better than the original one. Good find.
-
Mine? No definitely not. Im sure the car was always parked at 771? (SAR). You could see it from the road so you could find out very quickly if you asked around in the Seaking community.
-
I wouldn't want to pay more than 7k for that car, the whole interior needs looking at or replacing. Filthy interconsole, cracked plastics, manky grey carpets. Looks like the engine bay and rubbers need attention and I suspect the paintwork also needs looking at regardless of artistic angles. Having just looked at the pictures again and seeing rust on the door sills I would not even be contemplating a purchace without getting underneath incase the underside is as ferrous as the engine bay.

There is a red Supra there, the guy works on the military base. I believe its an n/a and totally standard minus the very large alloys.
-
Will this car do any drag events this year? I see a few people on the forum buying radials this year. It would be cool to see some more supra in the 10's on the scoreboard.
-
Looks quite nice, I have glass headlights and an earless RMM lip, otherwise it looks identical
-
I have a stock supra too, but it's silver so nobody cares
-
Correct, you are not getting there reference. Read more forum threads.

Put a list here of the offending wheel brands in question.
-
You are obviously one of the forum spanner spastics David was talking about. If you say his name three times he will cripple himself further in attempt to fix your car - all free of charge in a bid to boost club spirit.
-
We will have to get a list together nearer the time with a few call outs I reckon.
-
If you like this bodykit id suggest you go and see the car in the flesh, nothing looks 'stuck on' like alot of japanese kits and its great stepping into the car over the thick sideskirts. A serious amount of road presence from this kit.

Im sure it was mentioned in another thread that tracks have a limited number of days per year restriction free? If thats all that stands between you and a few laps, book yourself onto one.

Been offered a mkiv UK 2jz manual BUT with 240k miles looking for advice
Hemanhead replied to a topic in Supra Chat
They are not the most desirable of Supra but that won't stop a few who swear to the effect their UK spec was somehow destined for greater things. At 250k miles it isnt likely to be in the greatest of shapes, it sounds like many an English winter will have taken a toll. needs a glass out respray the way you describe it, and in all honesty that will probably be the start. Id be looking for a forum car personally and try to see past the 'UK spec' is best, maybe even import while its still viable.
