  1. Probably doesn't due to the steering rack being an interference on a RHD car, you could always check yourself though.
  2. Amen, that should be top of everyones list.
  3. This is how you do a car build, incredible stuff.
  4. Hi bud, there are about five pics on the first page, they are all individually bagged to keep the finish.
  5. I can answer for you because I have both. J specs are absolute crap, if you have them, your brakes are crap. FIN. My aftermarket ones however, outbroke an auto supra on refurbished UK specs with some well recommended pads. Everything has already been mentioned regards fluids and pressure, I also dont run abs either, take what you want from that experience, but they did alot more than 'look bling' luckily for me.
  6. No problem mate, if it will just be a drag car, fully stripped out, th400, ford 9", slicks and a small single turbo setup making around 800bhp 'might' hit you're target.
  7. It can be done, but they must be tiny people in the back!
  8. Yes, you need to be a paid up member to use the private message function. To answer your question, you would be better off stating how fast you want to go, rather than just stating single turbo as people would be in a better position to tell you the parts you need. You will need a built auto box, you will need a lot of supporting modifications and you will need alot more than 10k when all is said and done, even if you hold out for some second hand bargains that always come up on here. Cheap, fast, reliable :- choose two. Thats always been the forum mantra, welcome and goodluck.
  9. No bud, if you read it, prices aren't including postage. Typically heavy items have been around £11 - £15 using parcel force.
  10. What times are you looking to put down at pod mate? Always good to see people work up the leaderboard
  11. No modder will have to keep spending on their car mate, 600bhp will ALWAYS be relevant, you cannot sidestep that. We are a long way from seeing most cars coming from any factory with 600bhp, 25 years on and the next Supra ( if its made ) won't have that much power. Those with modified cars will keep watching those with old twin turbo's blowing up - It still costs similar money if you are trying to stay OEM. You are fond of the Etype, as am I, so is the worlds media and coincidentally so was Enzo Ferrari. Famously quoted as saying is was the most beautiful car ever made; which is something that has never been said about a Supra as much as I love them. It also shares Le man winning racing pedigree with the Dtype car. These things make it valuable. Other cars cited above, like range rovers and Escorts etc all have something in common....they aren't Japanese, almost nobody collects or invests in Japanese cars! You can pull up the 2000GT but a quick wiki reveals only 351 were made and at a loss too! As an 'investment' something Porsche, any 911 model with a Turbo on it will always be worth money, even the 996 eventually. Modded Supra have been sold for more than 100k already, people do love a modified Supra, they really are great
  12. Theres generally quite a large financial difference between an etype owner and a supra owner though, its actually worth real money, the supra is not, and I cant see it ever getting that high. Id disagree, enthusiast do it for love, rippedbyfear is a good example of this, I dont see that in your posts, motivation is purely financial as are alot of people on the forum these days, I dont blame anyone, the appreciation is free motoring which is great. Modified cars you might think 'resemble' supras, but what are you going to do when you cant get an oem suspension arm anymore, windscreen, seals, brake pads etc, those guys help keep these cars on the road, eventually you will need something, and when you do, not amount of OEM car mats and toyota air fresheners will make it any less modified
  13. Have you any data to show to back that claim up bud, Vbox? Great photos, the car is looking good.
  14. Mate, the only reason anyone even remotely cares about a stock supra is because they are hoping its a single turbo from all those lovely internet videos they were treated to all these years. Yes single turbo cars get broken but they are always worth more than stock. There was also a member recently that clocked up a bill near 30k if i remember correctly; maintaining his car, including a new gearbox? - Couldn't shift it. Most of the cars on this forum are getting tired, VERY tired and either members lack the collateral or are unwilling to spend whats necessary to bring them upto classic standard, which as seen, isn't much cheaper than going single turbo ! All this talk of OEM parts, originality etc etc is the rhetoric of 'investors' not owners and enthusiasts. Those people will soon worry about going for a drive less they impact on the value of their 'investment'. This will have a knock on effect in the club, attendances, dragonball, community input etc. If this is the future we face, how sad indeed. Hope not !
  15. I find the OEM suspension harsh, infact even BC's must be an upgrade and they are very cheap. That would be my choice.
  16. Nail on the head. They can take the power but they all need refreshing now, not just the engines its every seal i seem to come across hah.
  17. Hi mate, yes it comes with a flywheel. I cannot give an exact mileage but south of 15k. I will link a side picture of the plate tonight for you. Also to add, the only reason this is being sold is because of a power hike which would have this on the very edge.
  18. Sorry no, its the first cat, good spot, ammended.
  19. Ripped, im located in patchway right beside the M5, but I can be found in Yeovil at weekends, sometimes other places. Trying to pm and get back to everyone, but I am at work, so I will do so when I can
