I haven't personally seen anyone replace the stock boost gauge on a Facelift TT, do manufacturers even make one that small? You could probably mount one someone else or have an A-Pillar gauge holder but even those are personal tastes.

I had this problem not long ago, car would cut out when slowing down to a stop and cut out. Turned out my ICV (Idle Control Valve) mentioned by Keron above was a bit groggy...cleaned it all up and viola, smooth running again. Worth a look.
