  1. It only needs reporting if somone is injured.
  2. It's not just supras, any larger engined or luxuary car seems to be depreciating at quite a rate now. Things like the lexus rx300 can be found for about 4/5k, 7 series bmw's are dropping like stones too.
  3. That shows he loves you.
  4. Also forgot to add. Often they will already be neutered , litter trained etc so there are savings to be made.
  5. Don't rule out rescue cats. You will miss out on the kitten stage and sometimes they will have to visit your home so as to ascertain you have the right environment for a cat but you also get the warm fuzzy feeling that comes with knowing you may have saved that cat from the needle.
  6. rcap on uk server3 bangaho on uk server2
  7. Ahh yeah, the little light that used to glow all the time
  8. You could even end up like Barney on the simpsons with ears all over his chest.

  10. GPS speed readings are based on how fast you are moving across the earth so a hill will make GPS under read. On the flat they should be allot more accurate. The Speedo gauge will always under read a bit by design. You should find that when going up/down a hill the Speedo reading is relatively faster when compared to GPS.

The text and the link are not the same. It says ananova in the text but if you look at the link its just to the other thread.
  12. My other half has said the same thing! Unfortunately it would be a breach of human rights and illegal. Perhaps if you could pursuade them to sign formal consent forms by offering them a bigger cell? Or time away from big Dave?
  13. Do you have the smaller or larger brakes?
  14. The newer ford TDCi engines are very good. Variable vane turbo so there is pretty much instant throttle responce. But if you have a fuel pump or injector die on you that are -not- cheap to fix.
  15. was it a bit like the car in this video?
  16. But the testing which is referred to in the article is a world apart from the LD50 tests. The legislation which comes with animal testing now is quite significant. It just isn't possible or legal now to do silly things like find out how much motor oil a monkey can drink before it dies. The tests have to be controlled and any harm/discomfort is limited, allot of test animals will have very good living standards; at least in this country. I don’t know about animal testing abroad.
  17. Unless its an accurate gauge I dont know how much use it would be anyway. I think if there was low/no boost you would know about it due to a lack of performance and if it was too high then theres the boost cut.
  18. Testing on animals is fine... they get free marshmallows for goodness sake. I'd do it for free sweets. The whole argument of "it doesn’t have any choice" is a valid one but I don’t think it’s very good. Did the chicken that got eaten for dinner last night have any choice? Did the gazelle torn apart by lions have a choice? Did the paraplegic person have a choice? I think the point I am trying to make here is bad things happen in life to everyone and if the worst thing going on for the monkey at the moment is it gets to use a robot arm to eat sweets. I think it is a lucky monkey. Although some of the tests done in the past were outrageous and have no place in science. Tests such as the LD50 tests were horrific.
  19. There are loads of reasons why a car might be down on power. Seized brakes? Timing belt out or slipped a tooth? Valves need adjusting? Fuelling is way out?
  20. Taking out the fuse or battery with both do it, the advantage of the fuse method is your clock and headunit etc wont loose thier settings.
  21. I have noticed it before too. I think if you are a very high risk driver then its cheaper to do TPFT but as soon as you become less of a risk, the opposite is true for some reason.
  22. I dont think it's fair that you are taxed as a benefit in kind in some situations as you might not be able to do your job without a company provided car. I pay alot of tax because of private health care and other benefits
  23. I am sure it is possible to chip it like most modern diesels if you really want to, although its never going to be a fast car, but then it was never designed to be.
  24. For company car tax costs have a look at the parkers website. Polo Bluemotion - http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/company-cars/?deriv=37909 Yaris - http://www.parkers.co.uk/cars/company-cars/?deriv=22729 I think the list price is the main metric when it comes to how much you are taxed. Sometimes its worth getting a base/entry model with a lower list price and then getting optional extras, which as long as they arent on the list price wont cost any more.
  25. If you are on the look out for cheap to tax cars to consider are the VW polo blue motion which is £0 to tax or if you have to stay jap the yaris 1.4 D-4D is £35.
