  1. I bought an upgrade version direct from microsoft, downloaded the iso and installed. Cheaper then a normal version but it wont activate as a clean install.
  2. For me an import is roughly 4-6 times more to insure. There are also far more companies willing to quote on a UK car than an import. I expect the above is less relevent the older or lower risk you are. Personally, I'd rather have a car which is already in MPH and has fog lights etc. I know converting doesnt cost much compared to other bills you get with these cars and most already have the work carried out but it is one less thing to worry about.
  3. You are likely to get more for your money with an import or at least a car with less miles and that is less likely to have rust but the fact remains there are no where near as many UK cars around as imports. For some people like me a UK car is the only option and the slightly higher initial outlay soon pays for itself in reduced insurance costs alone. It's also nice to have things like the heated seats and headlight washers even if you only ever use them once in a blue moon.
  4. What is it you are trying to introduce redundancy for? Shared data, windows domains or applications like exchange SQL etc?
  5. Nope, its been one of the best cars in terms of cost and fun I have owned. Bought it at 151k now up to about 189k. In that time it's had the following: New Cats (old ones rattled a little but passed MOT) 2 sets of tyres one set of pads one power steering pump (old one was getting noisy) about 8 oil changes autobox flud change, pas fluid, coolant, dif etc new air filter and plugs etc So all basically wear items and service items other than the PAS pump.
  6. I hate fog lights too. It seems like every couple of cars that go past in perfectly clear weather have the fogs on.
  7. My reccomendation would be leave the original regulator in.
  8. http://mkiv.supras.org.nz/specs.htm scroll down on this page to see a list of all the production numbers for each month...

    Timing belt

I am lead to believe the supra wont suffer engine damage if the timing belt fails. This makes me wonder about just leaving it till it breaks. Is there any merit to this idea especially as I don’t rely on the car for work or anything. its just a weekend toy and something to polish. Or does anyone have any arguments for replacing it as a service item?

    Bad day ??!!

I had Avon ZZ3's on the front a few years back and they weren't bad. But in the wet it was quite apparent they had less grip then the toyo t1r's and the car was very willing to under-steer with t1r's on the back.

    NFS shift

Yep I want it to go back to being a street racers vs cops type of game too.
  12. Excellent. I think I will give them a go.
  13. Has anyone ever purchased a radiator from them? More specifically, this radiator http://www.carcooling.co.uk/products/Radiator_Toyota_Supra_2997_cc_1993_96_05_93_05_96_3_0_i_24V_Turbo_Twin_Automatic_vehicles_with_or_without_A_C_400_738_41mm_12TO554-9770-1217.html
  14. If you were to pull your own finger so hard it broke and came off in a seriously messy way then someone else who was observing you doing this could be so shocked that they fart?

    "cow"

I wonder why it seemed to only be ford cars which were involved in the accident, what are they trying to say?
  16. Your car looked very good. Whats the kit on it? Hope you weren't in for anything too serious.
  17. I was at maidstone hospital earlier and saw two supras in the carpark. A sliver one at about 3pm and a red one at about 6pm. Anyone on here?

  19. and for what its worth I like your car.
  20. You always get people who have to put things down to make themselves feel better. Just driving over to my parents at 5mph in a queue of traffic a couple of times in my compleltely standard car which doesnt even have a loud exhaust I have had people make gestures and shout things at me. Focus on the good comments you get from strangers; never the bad.

    Internet speeds

With o2 and paying fotr 16mb Not too bad really; must be about 1 mile+ from the exchange
  23. I intend to leave the valves for now as they both work fine and I dont see any value in having posh thermostatic valves in only one room. They also look pretty clean and the thread looks good too. The radiator on the other hand has rusted seams and generally looks pretty rough. Odd really as all the other radiators in the place look fine and the water that came out was pretty clean too.
