  1. Thanks guys. I'll order some bits and then have a go when they all turn up.
  2. http://www.screwfix.com/search.do;jsessionid=LNJF45K12CWZ0CSTHZPCFFA?_dyncharset=UTF-8&fh_search=17552 Are those any good or is it best to get fixed length ones?
  3. The exposed thread is an inch in diamater, the size of the hole is about 1/2 of an inch. Could I rescue the tails from the old radiator?
  4. The myson I have found is only 10mm out so should fit but its 140 quid and a 900mm radiator can be had for less then half the price and I can live with a couple of extention tubes. My next question would then be do I need new valves? I hope not as I dont want to have to drain the whole system. Thanks for the help so far guys.
  5. It is leaking arround the bleed valve. I have tried to take the whole valve out but the metal ended up deforming before it would turn as it is so rusted up. It might be possible to drill and retap it but that seemed like more work. I have found a Myson Premier HE 530 x 946mm Double Convector Radiator which is very close to the right length. Where exactly should I be measuring from, is it valve to valve or just the actual radiator body?
  6. I know this isnt a DIY or plumbing forum but the members on here seem to know how to do just about everything I have a bad radiator in that the tread is damaged and its leaking and I would like to replace it. It is a double radiator and measuring from end to end its 970mm which is a bit of an odd size and makes me think I might be measuring from the wrong place. Does anyone know where I can get a 970x600mm radiator? I can only find 900 or 1000mm; nothing in between. This radiator is at least 23 years old, possibly more so it might be 38" or something else imperial. Anyone have any ideas as I don’t really want to be using 7cm of extension pipes or having to cut and lengthen the existing ones pipes to fit a 1000mm one in unless of course that is the size and im measuring it wrong.
  7. Its a nice design and the gauge part works very well. I dont think it is as advanced as some when it comes to the boost control part though. There is no auto learn or target boost function and you cant plot different levels against RPM or gear etc.

    Bus drivers

A relative of mine was passing a bus which suddenly pulled away without warning and forced him into the central reservation writing off his car and smashing up all the bollards. Luckily there were witnesses and the bus driver was charged for driving without due care and attention.
  9. I voted for Diversity in the final. Glad to see they won. I wouldnt normally watch it but I know one of the guys.
  10. 178k Stock UK spec here.
  11. I always keep my uk spacesaver in the boot and I have had to use it. It's woth checking its up to pressure as well when you do the other tires. The foam/gunk cans are good but I hear they make repairing a puncture a pain?
  12. I would only ever consider a nikon or a cannon for a DSLR. For entry level slrs thats the Cannon 1000d or nikon D40. Personally I prefer cannon cameras. If you do get a nikon watch out for the newer and older nikon fits and old lenses as some older lenses wont autofocus on the new bodies. If you can splash out on about £500 the new 450D is an awesome camera and the large LCD is great for reviewing photos when your out and about. Why not go to somewhere like jessops and play about with some of them and see what you fancy?

    ill goldfish

Does it look damaged or unusual in anyway? I doubt it is down to lack of oxygen as all the fish would be displaying symptoms then. It might be worth doing another big waterchange and make sure the water is chlorinated/conditioned before it goes in the tank. Stir up the gravel and suck out the muck, you will be amazed at how much crap collects there. If there are any signs of bacterial infections or damaged fins, bulging scales etc and you can get to a local fish/pet shop, look for some myxazin and treat the whole aquarium with that. Also what do you feed them? What type of filteration do you use? The above will probably cost more then a new fish... but I dont think thats the way to look at it.
  14. I agree; how about bronze?
  15. I would like some cream/uk spec floor mats. I only need the passanger one but I dont mind purchasing a set. I would also consider custom aftermarket ones if the colour and fitment is correct.
  16. I dont think they are that expensive to be honest. All I have had to do is keep feeding mine petrol and oil changes. Even things like brakes and tyres seems to last pretty well. Infact the only non-service item I have had to replace on mine is the power steering pump. Not bad for over 177k really.
  17. These people seem to like them: http://www.1010tires.com/TireReviews/Toyo_Proxes_4_tire_reviews4.html
  18. Sorry, I was just wondering what your plans were but then you posted before me so I edited mine to dots.
  19. The top radiator hose is different for a TT and NA. I belive the part you are after is : 16571-46140
  20. There & Thier & they're
  21. They do insure imports and some mods. They will only replace standard parts though. I.E. if you crashed and damaged your rims they would only pay for standard alloys.
