  1. Admiral, bell and elephant are all part of the same company but for some reason I always get different prices from them all. They are meant to be low no claims specialists. Try them all.

  3. Love the 4th pic. Your car is so glossy; must never drive it or wash it every day to keep it looking like that.
  4. I wouldnt run it on only 3 cylinders, unburnt fuel will go through and may damage/overheat the cat.
  5. It's always horrible to lose a beloved pet. At least you got to say your goodbyes. We have had 6 cats, 3 still going and the eldest of which was nearly 20.

    Auto Coasting?

I dont think it breaks things going in to N at a stop, it just wears the internals faster as you are disengaging and reengaging the internal clutch plates more.
  7. The power delivey is fairly smooth with a stock engine, there is only a gentle surge of power.
  8. It comes on when a door or the boot is open, when the handbrake is on or when there is a problem.
  9. I am told it is quite easy to reach the limiter at 155 even up a gentle slope. I thought I read somewhere that with enough room (read miles and miles) on the flat it tops out at about 185 when delimited.
  10. I would be very careful with any heat sources next to a leaking petrol tank.
  11. Often its a dominance thing rather then anything sexual. If you keep pulling him off her and telling him off it should stop in a few days or so.
  12. It is a plastic tank. Maybe silicone sealant would work and there is a product called "petrolpatch" but the area would need to be dry first. I think the only safe fix would be a new tank?
  13. You certainly wouldnt want to paint them afterwards.

    Engine oil

The oem oil is 5w30 semi-synthetic for NA and 10w30 semi-synthetic for TT. Unless your car is quite modified im sure that the oem would do. I would always use a 100% synthetic where possible though. I did notice that going from 10w40 back to 10w30 the car feels faster and more responsive and also a little quieter. May all be the placebo effect though.
  15. Stock tire sizes are available; I have no problem in getting them. A wider tire can be a nightmare in the wet as it has to displace a lot more water. I think wider tires should last longer over thinner ones as there is more rubber to wear but I don’t think there is any difference in overall traction as even if the contact area is larger the force per cm^2 will be lower so overall grip will be roughly the same. It's always a hard thing to judge as often one is comparing brand new tires against old worn ones making the new ones nearly always the winner. If you get really bored one day try putting two space saver tires on and I think you would be surprised by just how grippy they are. Just don’t expect them to last very long at all.
  16. I don’t understand why people would go for oversize tires. Is it simply to have the wide look? Personally I think that anything which is likely to compromise handling and maybe even push the Speedo out a bit is a bad thing; especially bad if it costs more.
  17. I cant get mine to kick down at all in manual mode. One slightly odd thing however is that if I am in drive and the box in top gear when I switch to manual mode it stays in OD. It will only change down If I move the stick.
  18. If you plan on using video conferencing over it I would suggest going for the dedicated bandwith product.
  19. I have CW pads. They are very good. No squeeking, not too dusty and a nice bite.

    Free FCD

I am considering the free FCD but from my searches I have read some conflicing information. From what I understand UK cars and VVTI cars use the MAF for fueling etc and the MAP is only for fuel/boost cut. Others have said the MAP sensor is also involved in the prespool of turbo 2 and switching the fuel pump from 9v to 12v. Can anyone confirm which is the case for a UK car?
  21. I love the look of a completely standard supra. Some kits do look good and aggressive but unless the fit/finnish is perfect they nearly always detract from the cars apperance. Personally I prefer a good condition standard car over 90% of cars with kits.
  22. I just bought a new battery for the supra and as a result have a spare one now. Its in OK shape and starts the car but I felt it was time to replace it. Anyway its free for somone to have if they can collect it.
  23. For video encoding i would only want to use a 64x2 or a core 2 duo. In terms of raw performance intel has the lead at the moment but the 64x2 still offers good competitive value and it's always good to support the under dogs.
