  1. So you have mastered flat sheet carbon. I see your looking to do the intake pipe/tube next? Will you use your current pipe as a template? I'm very interested in seeing how you master more complex shapes. Undoubtably the oven will assist. Please excuse my total ignorance, but I see that you have to vacuum the carbon to make it properly bond/strengthen. How will this work with an oven? Or is the oven at a very low temperature?
  2. I'd replace the stock TT water pipe for an N/A one. I would ditch the stock oil cooler and fit an extended stud and take a direct feed (mocal thermostatically controlled take off plate) to an aftermarket oil cooler. The oil filter can be relocated too, but i would just keep it attached to the block. Been done a few times on here.
  3. Amazing results on the carbon work, especially given thats it's a DIY venture. Was this just trial and error or do you have a background with CF production?
  4. I that a stock VS C1 front bumper? The bottom angle looks to steep for a stock one?
  5. Shane, I'm out I'm afraid. Work has pulled a fast one and I'm now on a late shift. It's only down the road from where I work so I might see if I can come by later, but I won't be in the car.
  6. Just in Rekjavik at the moment. Just driven around the whole of the island in 10 days. Amazing country with awesome views. Also love the language, although it's a right tongue twister at times. Not seen any Supras but the snow and ice around most of the island would account for that. Lovely car you have there. You have greatly improved the car from when you bought it, that's for certain.
  7. Sorry to state the obvious but I assume you have taken them apart? This will be the easiest way to clean them. Take the handles off etc..
  8. Very tidy mod. He seems to have a good design which may be worth replicating. However, I wonder how much better they are over the stock projector with a good set of HID bulbs and ballasts?
  9. If I could get a set I would be very happy. Lol, thanks Shane, but I'll pass. Need to be without any damage. I agree. I've just never seen any done to stock spec. Surely it would be a popular option to have done and cost effective vs new door cards. I was expecting £650 ish per side, so that seems about right. Quite rightly getting a used excellent set would be the thing to do. But I'm not convinced I will find a set. If you recall Nic, I replaced all interior panels and all exterior trim and lights with new from you on my last car.
  10. Because they are rocking horse poop and often never in mint condition. Invariably the drivers door card will have scuff marks or speaker grills will have been removed. Don't get me wrong if someone has an absolute mint set of door cards I would be interested. But if they do they will undoubtably covet them as I would.
  11. I've had a good look and I have struggled to find any useful information regarding the above issue. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a damaged drivers door card. Set belt trapped here, kicked to death getting out etc.. For me they are such a large component of the interior that even knowing there is a scratch or hole in the door card makes me "a sad panda" My question is, has anyone successfully fully restored a set of door cards to a stock black vinyl that looks half decent, or managed a good quality repair? I've looked at a few repair sites but they will never show a repair like that required on a supra door card. Many of the recovered door cards I have seen seem to struggle to get a uniform look or good contours around the lower rear edge of the door card. I would be interested to hear from anyone who has had a door card repaired or retrimmed to a stock level. At the moment I am seriously considering buying a brand new set of door cards at £silly money from Mr T.
  12. Massive improvement. I would change the gear knob back to a leather OEM one to finish it.
  13. That is some good work. Do you have a bench polisher setup?
  14. Mine has rain guards on it. They look like they came with the bonnet.
  15. Looks very clean and tidy. Will definitely look better with a spoiler on it.
  16. Shiny indeed. Has come up well.
  17. I think that's quite rare these days Dunk. The market is so competitive that I would always have a quick look elsewhere. I would agree with you that price is not the deciding point on an insurance policy. For me low excess and fixed value are essential components. I declare everything to them. On my current Supra there are three (3) A4 pages of modifications.
  18. I've just recently insured my single turbo with sky with an agreed value. As far as I am concerned I got the policy for a great price with a really good level of cover. I did shop around to get the price where I wanted it, but that seems to be a necessary evil these days.

  22. Sorry jumped into this thread half cocked. Is that a description of yourself Russ? This sucks some serious posterior. Very sorry to see this is still an on going battle. If you need anything just ask mate
  23. He's grooming you for his wicked ways at a later date!!
