  1. Wez, it's a really easy job, especially if replacing the whole length as with the central bearing released there is plenty of flex to get it off. I think mine took a matter of about an hour to get off and the new one on. Again just have a trolly jack ready for the diff. No Idea about the seal changes, but I assume you will be removing the whole diff to do this. Only complication would be if your a UK spec with the diff cooler.
  2. Tobias, what pump are you running? For 800 bhp approx, which was my original goal, as Mark says I spoke with Hodge and he recommended -8an main splitting to twin -6an. I was going to retain the stock return unless pressure became an issue, which I doubt it will. I bought a single Walbro 450 pump, which should have flowed enough. However, as experienced by Jamiep I was concerned at peak flow if fuel temps would become a problem on a single pump setup. This would probably be negated with the twin Bosch setup, as most seem to do, with the staggered control. Not sure what your setup will be.
  3. Amazing. Needs a carbon air diversion plate to finish it off.
  4. The Evo is built on rally heritage, the Supra a GT cruiser. Chalk and cheese really. The Evo is in general faster 0-60 mph and much better on the back roads. On open roads the Supra has a significant mid to top end capability over the Evo. The Supra is also a lot easier and cheaper to modify. I think you could be disappointed with a Supra if handling is a primary factor in the decision.
  5. Mark you really do have a knack for picking out some lovely Supras. I might hire you to find one for me. I lack the vision when looking at the auction images to see a nice car. They often look a little shabby to me and I am instantly put off. But I love both the cars you have selected and the cleaning process you have put them through. This one needs some UK spec brakes though
  6. The first car you mention was the one bought by Global Auto? Lovely black one with Advan wheels? I wanted that too, but like you I found it had sold July couldn't come quicker I bet!
  7. The guy's an idiot! Why would you only tape a small part of the wheel. He coated the callipers and discs in paint
  8. I have a good friend called Keith who is a member on here. We met via Supras. He bought a UK Spec and had seen mine in the local area. He identified where I lived and came round one day to the house and asked to speak to me. Total stalker!! I will confess he never left love notes for me though
  9. Lol, I'm almost definately on the look out for another Supra having given up with the last. I have been pouring over classified sections with cash burning a hole in my pocket for another car. Just can't find anything I like. Still dabbling with the GT-R idea but I'm slowly loosing interest in it. I've been scouring the jap auctions / sales rooms and would really like a clean low mileage black or gunmetal 2002 6 spd. Not easy to find or cheap. I agree with the above, the Supra just looks amazing and really is fantastic value for money.
  10. Good decision. Exactly what I was thinking. Stock bushes seem robbed the best. If they are still serviceable keep them. Shame Toyota never did a replacement kit. Could have been a real money spinner? Can't wait to see the refurbished subframe reassembled and ready to go on.
  11. Did you keep the stock bushes on the suspension components in the end?
  12. Cheers Marco. I forgot to get any with the wires wrapped around the rubber bits and then with the resistor installed. My MR2 is a right old beater. Fun as hell to drive though Not a patch on the Supra
  13. I have just replaced the bulbs on my UK Spec GT T-Bar Rev2 MR2 fog light switches. I used stock LEDS and soldered in a resistor to allow for the 12v feed. This is the original bulb removed and the LED in place. Finished switches installed:
  14. Or you could buy a UK spec right hand panel and OEM UK Supra switch and have a genuine factory look. I then connected up one of the spare warning cluster bulbs to show rear fog.
  15. Looking very nice. Great to see her back on the road
  16. Easy thing to do to see if it is a boost related issue is to dial back the boost and see it still happens. Failing that find another member who will let you swap coil packs over and see if it still occurs.
  17. Fueling issue? Did you upgrade the fuel pump from stock? I would then double check the clips you replace to make sure they are all correct. ^^ I've checked the FAQ section and those plugs are rated for BPU with gaps unchanged. We're they brand new?
  18. The answer to this is to keep it and treasure it. Like others you never did this to make money, it was the challenge and enjoyment of making it custom and so very clean. That's worth it's weight in gold (see what I did there ).
  19. Power is over hyped. Since breaking my supra for parts all I have done is look at others and wanting another. I was hell bent on a GT-R but having now been out in a few and the lust has died a bit. The Supra just looks amazing, it's one of the nicest cars ever made IMHO. Sure they are getting old and other cars are faster, but the Supra still has such great potential. It's a credit to the car that 20 years on they are still being tuned and such a wealth of parts are still available. Right I'm off to look at the Jap auctions. 2002 6spd would be very nice, or maybe that 600bhp Supra on Global Auto with 21k on the odo
  20. That is a beautiful engine bay. I've noticed that as the number of Supras decrease the remaining owners become a lot more passionate about maintaining and reconditioning the cars. I like this as it gives them a fresh look and a new lease of life. Some amazing projects going on at the moment.
  21. Love your car. Very nicely done. If you ever feel like selling
  22. My pleasure guys. I've bought about £40 in clips so far.
  23. I'm as retentive as they come. I'm buying brand new Toyota parts to replace worn out parts on one heap of a 1993 T-Bar N/A MR2 at the moment. Which is only a summer run around! The clips are OEM quality without question and likely come from the original supplier. The company on the link even list parts by Toyota part numbers to assist. Give it a go, it's cheap enough as to not matter if you don't like them.
